The bathroom door was splitting and sometimes closed. The tile floor was dirty. The bathroom ceiling had black mildew or mold. There was an electrical outlet that was discolored like it had been overheated. The mattresses were thin and uneven.||And, the parking lot was well lit. The a/c unit worked. The tv worked. It was conveniently very close to Culver’s. Our dog beds fit nicely between the beds and in front of the door. The dogs slept well.

This place is below desirable. The room was dirty and by walking around the room a few times, the bottom of my socks turned black. Even the lady in the front desk was rude. We cancelled our 2 night stay, but since it was 2 hours till we had been able to move out we had to pay for 1 night. This is a cheap motel but you get what you pay for. If I could, I would give them a negative 1 star review. Thanks to Hampton inn down the road. Super nice and clean. Perhaps Red Roof could learn something from them 😄

Stayed over a night on my travels to Detroit. The outside was decent, and the parking was good. The room was clean but only one wash cloth, no desk chair or sitting chair, a hole in the bathroom door, and the bath tub drain was clogged. The beds were comfortable, and pillows are doable.

I checked in around 430 ..the smell of weed just walking in to check in was strong. Person checking me in was cold. The room was above the laundry that had such a strong detergent smell but did not cover smell of room. The lock was broken on my door like it was kicked in. Some kids were trying to check in but they were not 21..smelling of weed. Sketchy all around. The handles were broken off Dresser and new mat in front of door..most likely a dog trying to scratched his way out.i left and did not even ask for my money back..i was sincerely scared. If you like to party this is the place for you. Made the last red roof look like a 3 star. My company booked it..and I think they will put red roof on the blacklist..BTW I like the smell of weed but this place put a dead show to shame! The sink in bathroom was modern and cool looking. But what was the brown stuff on the lamp?

Upon my arrival, i went on Priceline to evaluate the cost. When I got there, I spoke with the attendant and she gave me a flat rate. But when I finally got booked in, the price was inflated. I inquired why? But still accepted because i was extremely exhausted. When I finally got in the room I noticed that the toilet was plugged up and the tub's stopper was detached. I informed the attendant and maintenance was called. I left the next morning with the impression that these issues would be fixed, but it never happened. I was extremely disappointed with this place and I would not recommend staying there. It's shady and the employees, at least the ones I dealt with were very unethical. I don't usually give bad reviews. But this place deserves it.

I’ve stayed in hotels on all ends of the spectrum. Marriott’s to independent motels. I try to stay in budget hotels to save money. The budget hotels are all outdated. But some are clean and well-managed while others are not. This hotel has funky smells. The bed was not comfortable. The overall stay was not comfortable. There was a squashed roach on the bathroom floor. If you are here over multiple days, the noise levels can be very high during cleaning hours. The walls are ‘thin’. You’ll hear your neighbors talking or if they have the TV turned up loud. The staff, while usually addressing your needs, does not do it without a bit of argument or attitude depending on who you deal with. I’d say you have to be going to bed drunk each night of your stay to be comfortable and not notice any issues.

The Red Roof Inn is a desirable hotel, definitely needed an upgrade tho, especially the furniture inside the rooms. I was staying there when they were refurbishing it. They Painted the outside, put some new air conditioners in and got some new staff as well. There was always great customer service as expected thanks to Rob and his staff. The staff made sure I had everything I needed!

If I could put zero stars I would. The receptionist was awfully rude. The whole hotel smelt like a marijuana dispensary. Go to sleep smelling like weed, just to wake up smelling like weed. The lock on the door was broken. The “dresser” had zero knobs and was screwed shut. Lamp was broken. The dead bug guts on the wall was a plus. Bathroom was dirty with trash in the shower. Good thing I brought my own blanket. There was a burn hole on the blanket. The whole stay was disgusting we left as soon as the sun came up. Do not recommend if you want to remain living.
