Gorgonzola chicken!!!!!!!!!!!!!...... So I used to go to a wonderful restaurant named Angelino's that closed a long time ago. My favorite dish was gorgonzola chicken. One day while talking with the owners of Red Rock, they happened to mention they used to own Angelino's and said they could make the dish I once loved. The dish was just like I remembered and was absolutely delicious!!!!! The chicken was so tender, the seasoning was just right and grilled to perfection. My wife and I dine in occasionally and get take out every couple of weeks. We love the southwest salad, buffalo chicken salad, boneless wings, bbq chicken pizza, etc. The chicken is always tender and cooked perfectly!! The quality of the food and preparation is the best around. They have now put the gorgonzola chicken on the menu permanently! Thank you Red Rock for giving us such a great restaurant close to home!

Lunch yesterday was great. I ordered a pizza tonight because I’m a bit limited in mobility after foot surgery. I’m thrilled that they delivered my delicious pizza even though it wasn’t in their normal delivery area. I’m so grateful and will be a regular customer once on back on both feet again. Amazing people and food 👍

Ordered take out today. The chef's salad was fresh, loaded and absolutely amazing! Wife got the fish sandwich. Large portion of delicately fried fish dressed with tomato, lettuce and sauce on brioche with side of slaw Amazing!! We try to eat there once a month. Outstanding food and great staff and service

We are in town visiting my son at UCONN and we decided to give Red Rock Cafe a go. I must say the place was pretty busy. The staff is extremely is extremely pleasant, everyone we came in contact with. However as soon as you walk in, I did not get the greatest impression of the restaurant itself, excluding staff, restaraunt itself didn’t give off clean vibes. But the boys wanted to try it so we continued on. The menu is very big and so much to choose from that you get a bit overwhelmed. I opted to have the chicken wings, they had 64+ flavors to choose from. I had the mango pineapple. It was good. The wings were juicy, tender, and you could taste the mango pineapple a little bit, and I’m content that they were not drowned in the sauce. My husband had a bacon burger without lettuce,tomato,onion and came out perfectly. The waffle fries are a bit greasy but no worries none were left at the end of the meal😆. My son had the same bacon burger but with all the finishes and he enjoyed his as well. The sodas though … I had a ginger ale- disgusting! My husband and son both ordered cokes and each one tasted differently so we sent one back and now it tasted ok - the weirdest thing ever since it’s out of the same machine / not sure if it’s from dirty cups or what ! We opted to skip dessert

We stopped by to check out their Happy Hour Specials.
The Margaritas were good and worth the $6.
The appetizers, well honestly we could have done without. The nachos were a bit of a joke. There was a smattering of meat, if that. The pic of them shows exactly how they were served.
The fries with mozzarella cheese and bacon, please don't get. The fries were soggy and the "bacon" really was something you'd scoop out of a jar. Overall, the quality of the food is what was disappointing, as well as the cleanliness of the bar area. I was watching the bartender take out the wine glasses to serve wine, and I can clearly see fingerprints and smudge marks on them. That's how they came off the shelf.
There were flies..many of them landing g all over the rims of the glasses as well. Not a clean place. I will stop right there.
I'm sorry Red Rock, I tried.

I had an excellent dinner. The food came out very quick and was delicious. The menu is very extensive and has a lot of vegetarian options. Our server was attentive. However, we did have to wait for more water and our bill. We did also meet a micro celebrity!!! I recommend you come here!!

When we go grab our boy from UConn or visit, we normally will stop in this establishment. The food is great & the portions are a decent size. Staff always very polite. It's nice to not be in a high traffic area like the other restaurants in downtown UConn.
