I saw the reviews and was terrified but the rooms were clean. The bed was soft, the pillows were awesome and the shower was great! There was no cable but the internet was good so I played movies from my laptop. The desk workers were absolutely sweet. I stayed 4 days and had a very pleasant experience! The price on Expedia was way cheaper than similar hotels . It’s in a great area . I’d definitely stay again ! Definitely not what other reviews say !

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!!!!! I made a reservation for a simple celebration for my kids. I had my kids on my reservation and then I invited other kids to come swim , NOT TO STAY. Upon arrival , my room had just got done being clean and still wasn’t clean. They charged me $160 in wrist bands for all the other kids to swim. But they made me pay cash and didn’t give me a receipt because this is a SCAM!!!!! They called the police because another family refused to pay for wrist bands as they should have because nobody should have to pay $20/person to swim. A pool is an amenity that comes with the hotel. After being kicked out the pool even though we purchased wrist bands, I decided to leave the hotel. I went to the front desk because I forgot something in my room, they refused to let me back in the room to grab my item and then called the police again. Then lied to the police and told them they had evicted me hours earlier WHICH THEY DIDNT. That group of officers agreed that they were scamming people out of their money and that we should take it up with corporate and also allowed me to make a police report. Not to mention my room had holes in the walls and the rooms were run down and dirty. The elevator was messed up. Please don’t waste your money here.

Positive: It was clean and the staff was great. Negative: The rooms did not have refrigerators, only 1 had a microwave. You couldn't use your key card for the workout room they had to unlock it. One of our rooms didn't have heat. The staff took care of it immediately though.

This is the jankiest hotel I have ever stayed at. I'll start with the rooms were clean and the staff was nice. That's about as far as I go with the good stuff. There are no refrigerators or microwaves in the room which was hard for us because we were traveling and we had food we wanted to refrigerate and then had to throw out because they didn't even have working ice machines so no way to keep anything cold. No vending machines, you have to go downstairs to the front desk they offer 12 oz cans for $3 a piece and other overpriced snacks. To top it all off they advertise a free breakfast but when I went down in the morning they told me that it's usually a grab-and-go but they didn't have any supplies to make them that morning. I then turned around to get some coffee and they didn't have any coffee either. If you're just looking for a bare Bones room to crash for the night it was clean but no perks or amenities.

Lobby looks ok but stairway and back door was scary and dingy. Hallways smelled of cigarettes. Ice machines out of order. Elevator made lots of noise. Room had dust on bathroom light fixture and the furniture. TV, phone and internet wasn't working. Frig froze all our food. Microwave made loud noises. We had to wipe down the chairs and table because it had stains on it. (good thing i bought my cloox wipes and lysol spray) No garbage can in bathroom.No lamp or plug for phone on other side of bed. Ironing board was under the bed. Curtains was lopsided.
Not enough towels for two nights. Only thing good was there were no bedbugs.
BTW we weren't told breakfast was in a bag.
Ramada can and should do better.

I booked in independence knowing it’s a nice area.. I’m sharing my room with a mouse, this is also my second room the first room was a dirty room. I’m talking bed was slept in and the door was propped open… The pool was the main attraction you can’t get inside the pool room or gym the doors are broke the front desk has to walk down and let you in. Then the pool is said to be heated although it’s ice cold my kids swam for 10min before there lips where purple and I had to take them out. I paid $122 for this DO NOT DO IT. ALSO THE WIFI DOES NOT WORK. Don’t expect to do any streaming.

Could do much better with the same price. At first going in the back way I thought I would have to forfeit my money and go somewhere else.The lobby is fine. There are other things that make you say umm. Breakfast is in a bag. My drapes had holes and half torn down|One garbage can in bathroom only|There was no fridge. There were some trash left under the bed. TVs did not work in the entire hotel. |The bed was clean and fresh but smoke filled the hall in non smoking area.|It was livable for two nights but I would not go back there

Zero stars! Sleep in your car if this place is your only option. I deemed it the Bates MOTEL! Inside and out dirty, we had to switch rooms 3 times, one no working TV( TV’s old as dirt), next room no heat, 3rd room below average. Spider in the tub, webs all over, nasty carpet so much so I had my child keep their shoes on. Pool area filthy, water frosty! EVERYTHING dated. Only 1 working elevator that was not in a convenient location. Parking was a joke and the lot was a sheet of ice, which speaks volumes to their concern for their patrons. They should pay people to stay in this dump. Motel 6 rates better! This place ruined the entire mood of my weekend!
