I was so excited to visit R Place and they did not disappoint! I ordered the Smash Burger and Mac and Cheese and it was hands down the best burger I’ve ever had! They also just got their liquor license, so I ordered an old fashioned. The service was exceptional and everyone was so professional and kind! The aesthetic felt very high end and the heat felt very comfortable. I hate going into restaurants and freezing to death, but it was the perfect temperature! And even though the restaurant was packed, I could still have conversations and hear them! I can’t recommend this restaurant enough! Congratulations on a successful first week being open!

It's 50/50. Beware, they might run out of stones, and the service is 50/50. The manager was rude.

My first visit, on a Tuesday less than a week after they opened, was fabulous. Service was good (considering they were only open a couple days, the steak medallions was among the best steak that I've eaten anywhere, ever. Rob came by and was quite friendly. Overall, a 5 star experience. The manager last never stopped by the table, which I guess was a good thing, considering the next experience.

The next time, less than a week after the first, was on a Friday, and it was terrible.

They ran out of stones, we waited for 45 minutes, and they came out again, told us no stones were available, and asked how we wanted the steak cooked. This was a major disappointment, as I had specifically brought my guests here for the stone experience. But rolled with it. The steak was OK - not great. I expressed my disappointment to the manager when she came around asking how things were. She said she would take care of it (not sure what that meant, as the was nothing to do at that point). She came back, said the waitress had offered for our steaks to be on stones (she hadn't), brushed off our response and quickly left. She singlehandedly made a disappointing situation into a "I'm not really sure that I want to come back here again" situation.

I'll give them another chance solely based on my first visit. Hopefully they get more stones, and the management levels up. More Rob, less rude.

Not too thrilled with this place. So, I came in earlier tonight, got some food. It was pretty good. I ordered a smash burger and fries to take home for my wife and while she was eating it, our kid wanted to try a bite and liked it and wanted one.
When we called to make an order, they said you need to come in the store to do a carryout order bc they don't have that ordering system set up yet over the phone.
I go in, and they tell me they can't do a carryout order for me bc they don't have enough boxes. They were out of the big to-go boxes and only had small ones. I asked if the small ones could fit a cheeseburger (knowing they could ibc it's what they had to put my wife's in when I ordered hers earlier), and she told me she already talked to the owner and he said no to go orders. They wanted to use the remaining boxes "for the customers who are dining in and want to take something home".
I thought this was pretty rude to be honest and not a very good business practice. Not to mention my kid being pretty disappointed he didn't get his burger.
So I don't think I'm overreacting leaving 1 star. I feel it's pretty justified. I'd actually give a 0 if I could. The look the owner had on his face when the bartender was asking him about letting me do carryout (just a look of absolute annoyance. As if to say, I must have SOME NERVE to ask for such a request!), on top of the somewhat rude manner in which she delivered the news was worth 0 stars in itself.
If you guys want to try and make it up to me, I'm listening and will be willing to change my rating...Otherwise, I won't be back. As the customer, you had the means to provide the service I was requesting, but you just chose not to wish a dash of rudeness to boot. And with me, that crap will get you 1 star faster than bad food.

Ps. The menu selection is actually very modest and lacking at best compared to other comparable restaurants. Hopefully it's just a product of being new and maybe add more as time goes on.

My fiancée and I ate at R Place Stone Grill and we wanted to try it. The food is fantastic and the service is too. They serve their steaks on a hot stone so every bite you eat is hot, and enjoyable. Very well seasoned and the food was awesome. I felt bad for eating the mashed potatoes because they looked like a work of art. The side salad was fresh and dressing was perfect. We will definitely go back and highly recommend this for your tastebuds.

Newly opened restaurant. Lots of friendly attentive staff available. Food was delicious. Google maps has wrong address but downtown is small and restaurant can be easily found.
