I'd give them 10 stars if I could! Laurie and Steve Quimby are amazing hosts in a beautiful house 2 miles down a farm road just outside of Dayton. The bedrooms are very nicely appointed with super comfy beds. The house is spectacularly decorated in an African theme by artist Laurie. Lovely patio overlooking the beautiful property and lots of places to wander. The breakfast is huge and delicious, you won't need any lunch. A great place to stay if you are visiting wine country and we might go back to the area just to stay at Quimbys Pond!

What a great experience! You're never really sure what to expect when you book a B&B. But as always, it's about location, hospitality, and atmosphere...and Quimby's Pond is perfect on all accounts! The location is within 30 minutes of 100+ wineries. The owners, Steve and Lorrie, are friendly and inviting. Lorrie's breakfast was "out of this world" great with fantastic espresso. Steve and Lorrie were willing to offer a wealth of area information based on their knowledge and personal experiences. The chance to relax on the patio gazing out over the pond with a glass of wine was always an option. And our beautiful room was quiet, clean, comfortable, and surrounded by Lorrie's amazing artwork and bronze sculptures. The combination of the African and Pacific Northwest outback were a great backdrop to a wonderful escape for my husband and I.||We highly recommend Quimby's Pond!

For the past four or five years my wife and I have taken an annual trip to the wine country near McMinnville, Oregon. A few years back, we were fortunate to discover Quimby's Pond, a beautiful Bed and Breakfast in nearby Dayton. We have stayed at many B & Bs throughout the country and this is by the far our favorite. Owners Lorrie and Steve Quimby always make our trips a memorable experience with suggestions for wineries and restaurants in the area. The home and grounds are tastefully landscaped and decorated with their artistic touches. Lorrie is an accomplished painter and sculptor and Steve is a master craftsman. Lorie's artistry extends to her delectable breakfasts. We have spent many hours on their patio, sipping a glass of wine, taking in the view of the quiet countryside across the pond, while a fire blazes in the outdoor fireplace. It just doesn't get any better.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful, cozy, spotless home, in the heart of the wine valley. Steve and Lori were amazing hosts and Lori’s breakfast was so delicious! We had a wonderful room with a comfy bed and soft linens. The private bath was adjacent. The hosts have thought of every single detail to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We loved the wineries and the restaurants they recommended. On one evening, we brought wood fired pizza and wine and enjoyed dinner on their back patio amazed by their beautiful view. This was better than a 5 star hotel. The hospitality was beyond exceptional and their home is a perfect place to be after a day visiting wineries. We will definitely be back to visit Lori and Steve. We felt very welcome.

Quimby's Pond B&B is an absolutely beautiful bed and breakfast. As you make your way up the winding driveway you know you have escaped the city and are ready to relax in a country setting. The house lays on 15 lush acres and is an escape to nature paradise that is owned and hosted by Steve and Lorrie Quimby. When you walk in the house you see that it is a mix between a country lodge, museum and art gallery. The home’s interior is wood centric giving that warm, country feeling. You will see an amazing collection of art including paintings, clay and bronze works all revolving around animals and created by Lorrie. For a very reasonable fee you get a private bedroom and bath. Everything is pristine and truly feels like you are at home. The biggest bonus was all the time we got to spend talking with Steve and Lorrie. They are truly down to earth wonderful people who made us feel like part of the family the moment we arrived. Breakfast was incredibly delicious each morning with creative dishes prepared by Lorrie who clearly puts her artistic skills to work in the kitchen. They are very knowledgeable in regards to many wineries and restaurants to visit. When we return to Oregon this will definitely be our go to place. We really wished we had planned for more time there and look forward to returning. This is “THE” place if you are doing B&B in the Willamette Valley.

Lorrie and Steve are wonderful hosts. We stayed with them 3 nights for our 15th wedding anniversary. We came with an agenda and made some alterations based on their recommendations - which were spot on. The accommodations, breakfast, atmosphere, and grounds were fabulous. The location was perfect for our Willamette wine country tour. I would definitely stay here again on our next visit. ||||Our suggestions: Tina’s and Agrivino for dinner. Wineries we would recommend: Domaine Serene, Adelsheim, Bjornson, Left Coast, and Anne Amie.

If you are looking for a great B&B from which to explore the Northern Willamette Valley's profusion of wineries (and there are a LOT of them), you could find no better place than Quimby's Pond. We recently stayed for two nights, and I must say that Lori and Steve are among the best purveyors of B&B's that I've had the pleasure of meeting. Their home is your home during your stay; in the time of B&Bs that either don't serve a decent breakfast or seem to want to keep guests corralled in a corner of their home, Lori and Steve are a refreshing reminder of what a true B&B should be like.||||From a welcoming treat of Lori's Rosemary Popcorn and brownies to each breakfast we enjoyed, the food and hospitality were superb. The rooms are good-sized and comfortable, their house is very nice, and the property, where you are encouraged to walk and enjoy, is impeccably landscaped. ||||Lori and Steve are also delightful company. We enjoyed sitting with them at breakfast in the mornings and out on the patio in evening. ||||Quimby's Pond has earned a place on my list of Favorite B&B's to which I will be delighted to return in the future.

The property is beautiful and Lorrie and Steve are great hosts. They gave us great winery recommendations and even a couple tasting coupons! The house is immaculate and very peaceful. The breakfast was amazing. I will definitely be back. Absolutely no complaints. 10/10 would recommend.
