The rooms are very underwhelming and not what I expected for the price. Our air conditioning vent smells dirty. The bed is very uncomfortable. We rented a golf cart and stated we wanted it through Saturday. We paid and then the front desk called us. When we went to the desk the lady was rather rude and stated it was supposed to already be turned in (a day before we were told) & we had to pay an additional $180 to have it for the time we were told we already had it for. The pool environment is very fun and nice and the bartender is very friendly.

After reading the reviews prior to my trip, I was a little skeptical, but pleasantly surprised. One suggestion, update your photos of your rooms. They don’t do your website justice. Rooms were very nice. No bedspreads, just very clean nice white bedding!, The room was very clean as was the entire establishment. The staff, which were plentiful, very helpful and pleasant . I know what I signed up when coming to put in bay. This is an island for adults, not family vacation Thank you Put in Bay Resort for making my first trip wonderful! Highly recommend.

I got the jacuzzi room. It was very clean and spacious. The beds and pillows were great. I had a mini fridge. There are ice machines and vending machines. The common areas were also kept clean including the pool area. Front desk staff were very helpful. Pool bartenders were awesome! You could also order food from the pool area. There is also a large flat screen TV by the pool area that shows sporting events. Breakfast was included, continental. So it was nice to grab a couple things and a cup of coffee before heading out. The location was perfect. Within walking distance to most attractions. You can rent a golf cart but really not necessary. You can call a cab and it’s $4 flat rate and will take you wherever you want to go.

Dirty old hotel. Great location though, walking distance to all the stuff. Cool pool area, but tiki bar was closed when we got there at 7pm. Rooms were dirty. Yes, tried two different rooms- first was full of bugs, mostly dead, but bugs everywhere. Had an odor too. Moved to second room and still had musty odor. After walking uptown and having dinner at the only place open and serving food (Tippers), we swam til 10 when pool closed then headed into bed. Pulled sheets back and sheets were all stained with blood or something. Walked up front desk and got new sheets to put on, front desk guy was nice. Surprised housekeeping even put this sheet on the bed.

Great hotel, during the peak summer season, if you are in your 20s or 30s , I'm sure. Very convenient location.

Just beware, if you are here in September, you will have very limited food options on the island.

Rooms? Overpriced and not luxurious for the luxurious-price you pay. BUT! You pay for the pool, the party atmosphere, and the location! As long as you set those expectations, it’s a 5 start experience. Big pool and hot tub. Bar next to pool and swim up bar. Speakers and music bumping. The customer service was excellent (5 stars). The front desk also rented out golf karts! So it was a 25 foot walk across the street for a kart rental, which exceeded expectations. Would definitely comeback.

First, the good. (1) The room was clean; the cleaning staff clearly is diligent. (2) The hotel staff was helpful.||Next, the not so good. (1) Despite what the pictures show, this felt like a party hotel. The pictures on the website do not show the huge banners on balconies advertising various brands of alcohol. We arrived for a family event on a Monday, and the pool area resembled a spring break movie set. Things improved significantly the next day when the party crowd seemed to move on. (2) The rooms are pretty run-down for the price. Room lights are dim, and things just look like they are being allowed to fall apart. For example, the shower curtain holder was falling out of the wall so that the shower curtain didn't really do much to keep the floor dry. (3) Everything just seemed damp.

I want to start by saying that the employees at this establishment were awesome! I never had an issue and they were honestly the most helpful people. The pools were great (when kids were not diving into a 3.5 foot deep part of the pool from the adjoining hot tub and endangering themselves) and we swam almost every night. My overall experience at Put-In-Bay with my partner was great.||However, this establishment in particular has two significant problems that I feel people should be aware of.||Firstly, the fire alarm went off on 3 out of the 4 mornings I woke up at this establishment between the hours of 7:30 and 10:00 a.m. When my partner and I took this seriously and reported to the front desk, we found that every time it happened, both staff and tenants were casually going about business in the lounge. Doing my best to paraphrase, we were essentially told that "This happens all the time. Dust or hot steam can trip many of the alarms, as they are sensitive. If there was a real fire, we would come and get you." This is obviously not a guarantee, as a hot fire can prevent access to parts of the building. I found it very concerning, as this mentality could very easily lead to a classic 'boy-who-cried-wolf' scenario where an actual fire had started, but many tenants believed that the fire was not legitimate and lost valuable time. It was also not a pleasant thing to wake up to on almost every morning of our trip. Real concerns for fire safety there.||Secondly, many people on the internet have expressed concerns that credit card information used to purchase rooms at this establishment is being stolen. This issue pre-dated my experience there, and my partner and I discovered this issue only after booking the trip. The day after the conclusion of our trip, we found a false $200 charge on my partner's credit card used to purchase the rooms. She declined the charge and is now receiving a new credit card. Please be aware that this is a risk if you decide to purchase a room at this establishment. Although in our scenario the risk did not result in successful theft, other people may not be as lucky.||I truly have the most respect for the people staffing this establishment and these issues did not ruin our Put-In-Bay experience. However, they were issues I felt people should be informed about that would have altered my decision about where to stay had I known about them beforehand.
