I have been coming to the Manor for various occasions since I was a kid from beach time, pool, and camping to dining on Mother’s Day, birthdays etc. It has gone so far down hill it breaks my heart. When we were told we were going to the Manor for brunch or dinner we would put on our Sunday best, it was such a treat! The dining room was always packed and it was 5 star quality! The last time we came we left fairly disappointed, but I was not willing to give up on a place where I’ve had so many great memories - I took my mother and significant other (his first time) for the pancake breakfast. We left and the first thing out of his mouth was “I’ve had better breakfast at an Extended Stay hotel.” If you know, you know.
The eggs were McDonald’s quality, home fries were dry and hard. The pancakes, which should be the start of the show, were thin and tasteless, the toppings…an absolute joke. The fruit spread was lame and the pastries best described as little debbie bakery. Where has the pride gone I am beyond disappointed and actually apologized to my mom for even taking her there for her birthday. You need a quality control consultant because that was not it!!

My family and I stopped in for a little weekend getaway. We planned the trip to specifically use the snow tube's and indoor pool. The pool is very nice and WARM!!! It is plenty big enough and they always had towels available. The locker rooms are near the pool and are clean. They do not have a hot tub inside. The entire lodge is dated but well kept. We heard bad things about the lodge, and we don't know why. We travel a lot and stayed at the majority of Ohio lodges and heard this one was the worst. We really enjoyed our stay. It has an old-school vibe, but they keep up with their cleaning, and though it's dated, it isn't wrecked or gross. The only issue we had was we went mid winter and the heat was off, so the room was FREEZING for hours. They have a cute little gift shop and some beverages and ice cream available near the front desk. The restaurant is convenient and has some good food! It is a little pricey but the portions are good! The tubing was fun and not overcrowded. If you rent a tube, you rent hourly for $5 per person. This way you can use the lift and they limit the number of people so it isn't overcrowded, which is very nice! If you bring your own sleds and don't plan to use the lift, you can come and go as you please for no fee! The little lodge near the Tubing Hill has a nice fireplace, and they offer snacks! We will be back!

Four of us ladies planned a lunch today and were very disappointed. We love their fish fry, its always been very tasty. The waiter after taking our order for 4 fish frys came back from the kitchen and said they were out of fish. To our disappointment we looked over the menu again some of us decided to go with the home made turkey pot pie. The waiter returned again to tell us they were out of that as well, he was very kind but obviously embarrassed. So we went with a hamburger and one of us the lobster bisque. We have enjoyed many lunches there and were usually quite pleased. We'd like to think it was a fluke because our wine pours at $8 a glass were disappointing as well. I think after a while we'll give it another try, but noticed very few there for lunch, we hoped they aren't closing.......

This is our second time here and we love the people here. They are so nice and always smiling!! The rooms are super cozy and the food is fabulous...we highly recommend. Haven't tried the tubes yet, but looks like a blast.

We had my daughter-in-law’s baby shower here over the weekend. Everything was wonderful. We had the pancake breakfast buffet with the real Geauga maple syrup, sausage, eggs, fruit, hash browns and everything tasted delicious. Meghan and Kate were a pleasure to work with and the servers were polite and kept the buffet stocked and did a great job with clearing the plates and refilling the mimosa bar. |I highly recommend having your next event here.

I stayed here early in October for one night. I enjoyed it. I had a very nice room with lots of room. It was very clean and neat. The Tudor look to it makes it a good experience for me. I walked a trail at the lake;s edge all the way to the cottage area. I ate all three meals here and liked that as well. The check in is not until 4:00, and thate was the case as they had a full house. It was worth the wait for the room. There is no elevator, but they do offer to have help getting luggage up the spiral staircase. I would stay here agian.

Very beautiful place to stay. Love the Manor this place is mostly still original. Beautiful woodworking through out. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful location we were there in the winter and we were able to see the lake frozen.

As a hotel it stacks up fairly well. As park accomodation top tier. There is a choice of rooms in old house for atmosphere and modern well appointed hotel rooms. I stayed in both and enjoyed them. Hotel rooms are better for business as you have more room and a desk. There are also cabins good enough for a family stay. Cosy enough even in winter. The Manor is a bit out of the way for shops but dollar store nearby. Go to Burton for village shops. Restaurant hs limited choice of good meals. Typically only a few diners except on special days. Enjoyed the meals. I didn't have breakfast but it had the basics. You can't go past this for period feel or weekend escape. Snow was fine. They kept the road open. Just take care.
