Can I just say that my family and I stayed here three nights and I could not wait to leave. The place was not extremely dirty upon our arrival. However, you could tell it was not very well kept due to dead bugs all over and the porches covered in leaves. I will say that the cabin was very spacious but that was totally over shadowed by the fact that it had signs at every water source warning of the cabin having only non-potable running water. There was a small water cooler right outside of the main level ½ bath. But otherwise even the kitchen sink was non-potable. We were there for a wedding and the fact that there were no mirrors besides the small mirror above the non-potable sinks was an issue. In addition there were no garbage cans in the bathrooms. We had bought a few snack items and woke up the next morning to ants covering the bags. Above all the hardest part was that upon our arrival one of our party had to use the rest room and the toilet over flowed. It was only number 1 but after the second day there unable to use water at all because then water was backing up even in the showers, the plumber came and discovered tree roots in the septic tank. So he was able to pull those out and at least allow us usage of the nasty water. Which I decided was better than none at all. I could go on with examples of how bad this place truly was. But why add anything further if what I’ve already said isn’t enough to make you run. I will add one last thing though. Even for you nature explorers this would not be the place I would stay because there is a sign claiming no access to trails from the cabin. So with non-potable water, old nasty appliances, bugs both alive and dead you should save your hard earned money and just pitch a tent. (Speaking of the driveway which its hard to access because it’s at an angle and my brother in law scratched his truck up. So should you find yourself desperate enough to stay here. Be warned).

On September 1, 2012 my wife and I were married at the cabin. We actually had rented the facility for the entire Labor Day weekend. Had a top notch experience, from the Trust that handles the property helping us to plan and execute the ceremony, to the cabin itself being clean and available for the subsequent rehearsal's, hosting, and decorating, etc... that comes with a wedding. The Trust was able to put together a 3 day package that was affordable and welcomed us to stay overnite at the cabin. That gave us and our guests the opportunity to celebrate our Union in comfort, and those who wished to enbibe did not have to leave or drive in an inebriated state. I have, and will continue to, recommend them for simple weekend getaways, to weddings and other events for people to be together. This cabin will always be special to us, and I can think of no better place to have began our forever!!!

Pot Point Cabin is an absolutely stunning cabin, right on the Tennessee River. So many local trails stem right out from the backyard. Beautiful wildlife, silence, and chill vibes in the Tennessee River Gorge! Would definitely come back again!!!!

It is the prettiest place in Chattanooga. You can go kayaking, fishing or hiking. If you want to hike you can choose a trail based on your strengths. I love this place.

3 things: poor cell service, great internet, and a view of the mountains and river. It's a great location and great accommodations. Bring a book and your hiking shoes.
