The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The house is lovely, very well maintained and extremely clean, which I really appreciate. Location is perfect for afternoon walks/browsing. Comfort level was very good too. Interaction with other guests was pleasant. Having experience many other B&B across the country, in comparison this is a well rated location. The breakfast was good but not the best. I would recommend this place.

I celebrated my birthday here and I had a wonderful Birthday!! The house is really beautiful and well cleaned. The manager was really good And kind. We are not supposed to get the nicest room but when we got there she upgraded our room as a birthday present. My spouse ordered a cake and the manager picked it up for my spouse and when we got there everything was ready!! so nice of her.

Such a wonderful stay! This was an amazing week. The staff is so accommodating and friendly. Always willing with recommendations if restaurants or attractions nearby and even providing maps and guidance for the best way to commute.

You feel like you live in a mansion. Breakfast at the communal table is always diverse. We stayed 8 nights while most guests average 2-3 as they pass through. So we met with newlyweds to families touring colleges and folks in town to see some sights or even staying to attend a wedding nearby. My wife and I are vegan and the chef prepared custom breakfast every morning so that it was never stale or boring.

Homemade cookies in your room after turndown service and the elegance of the historical architecture preserved as authentic as they can. The only thing I wish is we could have stayed even longer.

If you are only in town for a day, stay here, if you have a week all the better of an experience!

We stayed here during our last visit to Portland. What a wonderful place. Thank you for such a relaxing and comfortable stay. The breakfast and cookies were delightful. All the furnishings, rooms, and the bathrooms were very nice. Staff was very accommodating and made or stay more than comfortable. It was fun to step out of the traditional hotel stay and feel like family.

Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting the Portland area. The lady Paula who runs the place is a very sweet lady and very helpful when I asked what was good to do while visiting Oregon. It is a bed and breakfast and the breakfast here was quite amazing. The breakfast hours here are either 8am or 830am. It is in the dining room where other guests will also be having breakfast as well. Good for a nice breakfast and being able to get to know people from all around the world over a nice meal. The room we stayed in was spacious offering a cal king bed and our own huge restroom. The house was built in the early 1900's and shows a lot of character from that era. Free wifi is available here. I will attach my photos for your enjoyment. Also there is only street parking, however we did not have any problems finding parking at all. They also baked cookies for us and left them in our room. Also you can purchase wine for $25. Thank you Portland's White House B&B for a great experience.

Our experience with PWH was incredible. From the delicious cookies we got coming in, to the beautiful house we were very impressed. The bathroom was very clean and nice. I also can’t say enough about the breakfast. It was absolutely delightful, with something new each morning! The staff are lovely, friendly, and helpful.

Loved staying at The White House in Portland! Paula was a very kind and fun host! She gave us lots of suggestions on what to do in Portland and where to eat. The room was beautiful and the bed super comfy! I am vegan and gluten free and I was a little bit worried about what the chef would cook up for me for breakfast but I didn’t need to be. Paul was very creative and I enjoyed all the breakfasts he made for me while we were there. The first morning he made these white bean pancakes with locally grown herbs and veggies. They were delicious! The second morning he made banana pancakes with strawberries. Super yummy! Wish I had asked him for the recipes! My husband and I really enjoyed everything about this B&B! If we come back to Portland, we will stay here again!!

After planning a birthday weekend and making my reservation I was able to speak with Myra who really took what would have been a very good experience and turned it into a one of a kind, truly special event. When we arrived we found a beautiful room that was specially prepared with a Birthday Cake (Myra was kind enough to recommend several and somehow found time during her busy day to go and pick it up for me), chilled sparkling cider, refreshing fresh fruit, cookies to die for (it's good that I didn't know where to find the cookie jar or I can assure you that there would have been none for the other guests!) and some wonderful chocolate. The room was clean and fresh. The décor took me back to my Great Grandparents home.
We were warmly greeted and given a quick tour of the downstairs before being shown to our quarters. Everything was simply stunning. We woke to a breakfast that really hit the spot! I suspect that the menu changes, but we had eggs, potato pancakes and cherry tomatoes and peppers. There were rolls available that we almost missed. Make sure you check every basket!!
We were invited to roam freely and peek into any rooms with an open door. All were immaculate and we're so excited to plan our next trip! We plan to try several rooms! As I settled our bill with Cassie, a lovely young lady who attended to our elegant breakfast, Myra took a moment from the tour that she was giving to say good bye and gave a warm hug. We felt like family. (not mine, but a really nice one where you feel welcomed and want to come back often!) Our thanks to the entire team who clearly works so hard to create a memorable experience. It's obvious that every detail was carefully considered. Nothing left to chance.
Last, but not least, I'd like to comment about the other guests. In a word full of self absorbed people who barely acknowledge each other, each guest that we interacted with was simply wonderful. Great conversation and they even joined in to sign happy birthday. We're not only excited to return and enjoy another unique room, but to see who we'll meet next.
Thank you!
