Well, equipped cottages with decks overlooking Joes Pond. We had cottages seven and eight and enjoyed our stay of one night very much. Point Comfort is very close to the conveniences of West Danville, including several good places to eat. We would definitely return.

Oh my word, not what it was when I was a kid! Cabins are in DIRE need of repair. I don't criticize rustic cabins when in this environment, but these cottages are now condemnable. Mold, rot, and just falling apart. Most of facility has been sold off to private owners as Airbnbs. Would not return.

Rented pontoon boat on Joe’s Pond. Good, clean fun. So with it to enjoy the three lakes that make up the pond.

This was the second time we rented a boat and the experience was very positive, just like the first time.

The pontoon boats are clean and the engine worked flawlessly. The staff at Point Comfort ensure you have a chart (map) of the lake and that you know where the shallow parts are.

Stayed 3 nights in cabin #7 . IF you like an old style cottage / camp with uneven floors , windows held open w/a stick , screen door and 70;s decor you'll love this place , WE DID ! The place was clean the tv was Roku and the kitchen was fully equipped and listening to the Loons at night was great . Nice owners .

Not Sure I would give a star Review. We rented a cabin for the week...if we would have had any other option we would have taken it. These Cabins are in BAD shape!!! The Couch was ripped with stuffing out of it and the sleeper was so far in and on the floor you would never get it out. They do not provide towels and the "Stocked Kitchen" is not. We only had 2 bowls and Plates no spoons tons of forks and we were in a Cabin for 6 people. No Space in the kitchens to do any cooking. Disappointed in the horrible beds, no battery in the Smoke detector, the shower leaked all over the floor and the entire cabin smelled bad (Mold) and every room floor sloped in a different direction. They do not provide you with the basics, we had to buy our own Toilet Paper, Trash Bags and paper towels. I called it a step up from a tent and the floor may have been more comfortable!!!! If basic comfort is not a necessity then you may be ok. These cabins need an EXTREME make over or torn down and re-built. Only positive was the view from the porch and that the kids could swim out our back door.

Beautiful lake in Northern Vermont. Cabbin was neat and tidy. Fixtures were nicely redone. Great to wake up next to the pond and see the light breaking in the East. Not the Marriott..... but thats not what we were looking for in a cabin. Towels were provided. Owner was helpful and friendly.

I hesitate to give one star! The pontoon boat we rented had seats and carpeting that were in very poor condition (dirty, discolored and covered with mildew). This was unexpected since part of their business is repairing upholstery on boats, cars, and furniture . But most disappointing and upsetting was that soon after we rented a 24-foot pontoon boat for the half day, a thunder and lightning storm came up, and we were forced to return immediately, barely getting to our car safely (my husband, myself, my daughter and three young grandchildren). Point Comfort was completely unyielding in charging us fully for a half day rental, commenting, "That's the chance you take!" So rather than extending a courtesy and charging us by the hour, we paid $148 for 90 minutes! We will NOT return, and will advise others of their lack of customer courtesy.

Hate to see this property sold off piece by piece... When the current owners finally sell, there will be little hope of bringing this back to the prestige it once had... 30 years ago it had a wonderful restaurant (now partially private residence).... the rest of the dining area is devoted to fishing/boat rental... Camps are being sold off and overnight cabins sold as condos.
