After I called and advised them that I would have a late arrival they closed check in and wouldn't return my calls. Once I got to the Inn they still would not answer the phone after 5 attempts. A gentleman that was sitting outside heard my message I had left and he helped me get in touch with someone to get me in my room that they had already charged my card for the weekend. Long store short I didn't get into my room until 1am after arriving around 9:30/10pm. 🤨

I would love to give this inn a 5 rating but I cannot.|The room was perfect for the overnight stay that I needed BUT I literally spend over 5 hours (more like 6) trying to contact the owner so that I could get in the room. She admitted that she missed my reservation, and she offered me the room gratis/no charge ... all good ... BUT, guess what was on my credit card bill ... yep the room charge...||Back story: |I stayed over Thanksgiving night. Because it was a holiday and last minute scheduling, I checked everything to make sure that there wouldn't be any problems. I scheduled and got a room confirmation ... printed the confirmation. Check-in was at 3p. The key was at the restaurant down the road: not problem bc I checked the restaurant website and there was NO indication that they were closed for the holiday. I planned to I would eat there also. Yes, odd to be open on Thanksgiving but the website showed no closure and the phone recording didn't note any closure.|- I arrived at 3:05 p... the restaurant was closed ...|- I walked around a bit and started emailing the inn at 3:35 p ... emailed the owner/inn continually ... the phone number for the in was disconnected ... I gave a description of myself in case she was about town ...|- went to a different town 20 min away at 6:35 p to eat bc everything was closed ... still emailing ... |- started looking for a hotel in that other town ... no, luck so off to another town about 60 min away ... |- I kept the inn owner in the loop via email and asked that my stay be cancelled bc I couldn't get into the room and I hadn't heard from her .... |- as I was pulling into the other town (found a hotel), I got a phone call from the owner of the inn: she apologized for missing my reservation (she hadn't seen it) and offered me the room for free bc of the mix up. I accepted and headed BACK to the inn ... got there about 9:30p ... so over 6 hours later! |- She kept my card on file for incidentals: no problem. |- Checked my credit card bill on Sunday ... the room was charged for the full amount on the 30th .... I was not even there on the 30th |- I emailed and texted the inn owner 2x at this point ... NO reply|I would love to say that it was a great place BUT the experience has been AWFUL!

Luv all the updates! Haven't been here since Sept '22. Very nice surprise! Always a lovely stay, restaurants are wonderful 😋 & shopping & locals are helpful & nice 😀 Glad I was able to bring my Daughter this time. Great way to celebrate her BD it was beautiful 🏞

They will not communicate via phone. They will not communicate via email. They probably won't respond to negative reviews (TBD per this review). They are WAYYYY to small an organization to not return calls/emails/reviews. BEWARE, if you run into any issues, you will be on your own!

My room was clean and well-kept and I enjoyed my stay. As mentioned in another review, be advised there is loud music at the bar across the street. I simply ran the AC fan constantly and it was not a problem.

The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean, hence the 2 stars. I never could find a remote for the TV which might have helped drown out some of the outside noise which I did expect. My key kept getting stuck in the door every time I left which was annoying as well. But I am sorry to say my stay was overshadowed by the absolute, sheer rudeness of the girl working on 6/29/24. Rude when we tried to get a table to eat (so rude we just sat at the bar) and then acted like I was completely wasting her time when I checked in a little after 3:00pm. Very condescending. I wanted to walk away but I met family from out of town. At least our food was good and the bartender that afternoon rocked! She is the one that kept us from walking out the door to one of the many establishments we could have gone to. The hotel though….very disappointed. Btw, check in for the Plantation Inn is at the old Plantation Inn restaurant if that is not confusing enough.
