For many years, I always felt that Lowell needed a place where people could sit and enjoy a meal. I have visited many museums and made it a goal to try the food at their establishments. Most museums only have a café with simple offerings. However, I was blown away when I tried the grilled cheese with the pasta salad. I paired it with a fizzy pomegranate green tea, and it was perfect.

I’ve since tried multiple items on their menu and loved them all. The potato salad is my favorite side dish, and the Turkey Tombaugh sandwich is my top choice so far. It’s not your typical turkey sandwich—it includes cheese, artichokes, and a slightly spicy mayonnaise, all grilled to perfection.

I have had 3 great meals at the Planet X cafe. The staff is friendly and the food is very good. I appreciate the prompt service and the convenience of not have to leave the Astronomy Discovery Center to get lunch or dinner. We really liked their cookies. They also have great WiFi.

great sandwich in cute cafe at Lowell Observatory! Food was great and cafe is part of the Astronomy Discovery Center which is world class! Must see and enjoy this place! Great place to spend the whole day and night!

Had multiple food items at Planet X. Carnitas sandwich, the grilled cheese, tuna sandwich, a few of their soups, and "The Big Bangwich". All of them have been delicious! The staff are very friendly and always go above and beyond. Great place to eat if you're visiting Lowell!
