This place is a family tradition for holidays and to regroup as family over dinner. This tradition has been in our family for about 50 years.
1. Restaurant-all the food is good, breakfast is amazing with in door and out door seating.
All the servers are very professional and overall just wholesome good people making a living. If you’re from out of town, this is the spot you most definitely need to visit.
2. Pie Box- quality pies and during the holidays for pick up their process is a piece of pie. Preorder a head of time folks! Giving the cure time to prepare as they bake thousands and thousands of pies. Pick them up by checking in at the center of the pie box where they will ask you for your name and how many pies you have ordered, and they will mark you off on the sheet as present, you will be given a number while another member of the crew gathers your order. They will yell your order out when it’s ready. Completely coffee is available as you wait a “reasonable” amount of time. The later you arrive the busier it is. Don’t forget to take a picture with the John Deer tractor. Don’t forget to take a picture with your family and pies and post a review or send a personalized thank you letter as this crew spends the majority of the holidays away from their family working 100 hour weeks providing us quality pies and a simple thank you can go a long ways for this crew.

This place came recommended by a local as being a staple place to visit. However, coming from the south the pies were a little basic. Although I enjoyed the variety of options to choose from, looks can be deceiving. Some of the pies missed the wow factor. We ordered apple pie, key lime pie, strawberry rhubarb, and a sticky bun. They keep the slice of pies in the fridge, so luckily enough they had a microwave on site for me to warm my pie as I don't like it cold. Overall, we loved the atmosphere, but not sure it was the best pie I have ever had.

The BEST pie ever! To get the full selection the Pie Box has to offer one needs to get here early. However, the selection of pies we had was sufficient! There is covered and outdoor seating. The shop is small so if you have strollers or small children knowing what you want and having 1 person pay would help. Highly recommended!

We stopped on our way into town, to get a pie for a birthday celebration. We had a little sticker shock when we found the pies cost $28. But we figured they must be really good. We chose a banana cream pie. I would say the flavor was average, and I was disappointed in the ratio of filling vs whipped cream on top. I don’t think we’ll go again.

If you're any place even remotely close to Phoenix, it is worth the drive. Absolutely phenomenal! Great pies regardless of the type.

The blueberry and bourbon pecan pie are outstanding.

This place has been around for like 100 years and there's a good reason.

I just wish they would have like a half. A pie of apple and a half apply a blueberry.

Service is horrible, they won’t hold pies, and claim they’ll charge you still. The lady was an absolutely nightmare on the phone. I’ve been getting pies here for years and will never return again. A good pie ain’t worth it if it comes with absolute horrible customer service. You can tell this place is dead all other times throughout the year because of their lack of customer service. I’m pretty sure their ordering policy is also illegal. They charge you at the time you order, yet claim they don’t hold pies. Most places charge at pickup to avoid this. But last I checked, if I give a business money and don’t receive the service or goods which I paid for, they owe me a refund; unless specifically stated in policy - which it is not. The AZ corp commission needs to look into their business practices.

Second time stopping here and it does not disappoint!!! The apple and Cherry pies are delicious!!!! There's also a beautiful area to walk around and perfect for family photos. This little stop is definitely worth it. The staff was friendly and helpful. We didn't see a cherry pie on the rack and they immediately boxed us a fresh one. During their peak hours Friday and the wknds they try their best to consistently make pies. Before we stopped on a week day and it was so peaceful and plenty of choices to choose from. Such a fun family stop for all ages.

There's a rock shop that also has some fun souvenirs!

I'm sorry to have to do this, but this pie place is awful. I bought a slice of cherry pie, the crust was thin and flat with zero flaking. So bad I gave it away. The chocolate covered macaroons were wet and uncooked in the center with super sweet, basic melted chocolate chips smothering it. I could not believe anyone could mess up a macaroon!!! It was inedible. How this place does all this business is out of my realm of comprehension.
