If you have never been to the southwestern United States, but have watched old westerns, you need to stay in this town at this hotel. We are Utah residents, so the area is not new to us. But this is the first time we have stayed here, and we really enjoyed it. Yes it is an older lodge, used by movie stars during the great era of old westerns. But they have updated the rooms, and our room was very clean and had everything we needed. A huge plus for us is that their pet policy actually includes cats, and we travel with our cat. He goes on all the trips with us. The breakfast and the restaurant was great. No, it’s not included with your room, but they give you a hefty discount, and I was pleased. I wouldn’t have batted an eye at paying full price. We had a little issue with our door lock, because the hotel is historic, but the front desk staff rectified the issue immediately and could not have been nicer on all counts about everything. We have a new favorite place to get away for the weekend in Utah. we were not traveling with children, but the pool looked really nice.

I was in town for my annual trip to the balloon festival. I’ve always wanted to stay at Perry Lodge, and this was the year. As a historic hotel, the room was a little dated, but everything was perfectly clean and in good form. I had the breakfast buffet both days and was impressed with the food, and, even more so, by the staff. They were working hard under very busy conditions with the big weekend festivities. I look forward to staying again.

Staff went over the top to make our stay wonderful. The nicest gentleman (I wish I would have gotten his name), even helped walk coffees to my room when our coffee maker was unexpectedly broken in the early AM before the front desk was open. That was just one of the many things that made us go, "wow, this is such a wonderful place".

We’ve stayed here several times. It is an historic (older) hotel/motel; some rooms open to the outside and some are in a slightly newer block of rooms that open to interior hallways. There are also a handful of small cottages around the pool. Kanab’s claim to fame is that they were a site for many Hollywood westerns in the 30s-50s, and quite a few Golden Age movie stars stayed at Parry Lodge. We like the history and the vintage western posters that decorate the rooms and property. ||Rooms are not spacious but are clean and well equipped with microwaves, coffee makers, mini fridges, lots of towels, and bath amenities. Floors are laminate. Beds are very comfortable which is unusual for moderately-priced lodgings these days. The best deal in town is the $8 breakfast buffet, with a wide variety of hot and cold breakfast options including real eggs, bacon/ham, pancakes/waffles, biscuits & gravy, fresh fruit, yogurt, different toast/pastries, and of course lots of hot coffee, tea, and juice, all served in a spacious breakfast room. ||We had a wait to check in this time due to a “laundry issue” while they were fully booked. The desk staff was helpful and managed everything well. We’ve used the outdoor pool in the past but didn’t do so this time (we should have, the weather was great!) You can walk to several dining options within 2-3 blocks north of the hotel; it’s a convenient jumping off point if you’re headed to Zion or other outdoor adventures in that area.

My wife Sarah and I with all 10 of our kids enjoyed our stay here. Even saw a very old actress relative of mines picture on wall. Alot of neat history to this place makes it special. Very comfortable. Many old time actors and actresses stayed here. They call it little Hollywood. Even some newer actors like Jim Carey stayed here while filming movies. I love this place.

The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. We were especially taken with the cat that lives on the property. She was incredibly cute and affectionate. Since she didn't have a name yet, we decided to call her Conny. She absolutely loved the Squeeze-Up treats we gave her! It was hard for us to leave her, but we're happy that so many other hotel guests love her too. We will miss Conny.

Amongst all the other modern hotels and motels in Kanab, the Parry really stands out as special. True, the rooms can be a little dated. But ours was quite clean, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom very nice with good water pressure. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is great! There's a lot of history here, and it was fun to be here, rather than a soul-less modern inn.
