A family disagreement necessitated a huge scale-down for the original renovations to my mom's house. When I called Scott in a panic, he was very calm, courteous, and helpful. He changed the original plans free of cost and took care of things with our unhelpful and unpleasant village building inspector (of course, my sisters refused to contact the building inspector, so had not Scott paved the way, I would have had to deal with the building inspector all by myself). The situation was SO MUCH BETTER once Scott adjusted our plans to meet the reality of the family situation. Everything sailed smoothly through, and the house looks BEAUTIFUL, even though the original plans had to be scaled down. I am surprised to see anything but 100 percent positive reviews for this kind, understanding, and talented architect. I was practically destroyed by my sisters' refusal to carry through with the original renovations on my mom's house, even though it was their plan to begin with; but Scott and his team guided us through the paperwork and the emotional baggage that came with "switching horses mid-stream." Highly recommend!

Scott and Andrew did an amazing job with my plans for an extension with roof over deck and basement. Their fees couldn’t be beat, and their ability to meet in person and explain the process was awesome and made us feel at ease. We also had numerous back and forth changes which they handled with no problem and we’re always willing to work with us on small details. We also needed a variance and their support in helping me through it was great. They basically went above and beyond for what we paid for. I’d highly recommend.

I had a bad experience with Oyster bay drafting. When I hired Scott, the owner, he explained that we could get the job done in approx. +/- 4 weeks.
After 4 months, and approx. 30 emails back and forth, when I still didn't even have the design drawings I asked that we cancel our contract and be refunded our deposit. Scott was agitated and told me he already sent me the drawings and there would be no refund and swore I was mistaken. After some back and forth it came to be that Scott was sending the drawings to an incorrect email address. When I pointed out the mistake and explained that the correct email was on my business card and on the contract, both of which he had, he told me that the design phase was completed and there would be no refund. He never offered an apology for his error and made it seem as if it were my fault. He also informed me that, "customer service is a two way street".

I needed plans done for my new 2 car garage, they completed them quickly. The Owner Scott notified me in advance that I would need a Variance and actually attended the Zoning Board of Appeals and won my case. I could not have done it without them and their professionalism.

They are very professional, and for someone like myself with little experience with town permits and plans, etc., of the three architects I dealt with in preparation for this project, they were the only one willing to take the time and explain the process, they helped me with Town filings, and their originally filed plans were just approved by the Town and permits have been issued. We had a garage fire that involved an upstairs bathroom and room that would have had to go before the variance board had Scott not have been able to salvage what was left of the structure.
