Really great stay here. The front desk attendant was very accommodating and thorough. Room was very well presented with attention to detail and clean. Had everything you could need for a nice stay and attendant reminded to contact them if anything needed. Liked the decor because it was the more traditional room decor despite the plastic look and feel of the new decor, and had been nicely updated with nice draperies, new carpet, etc. Rules are clearly posted regarding no smoking, etc. to ensure a respectful stay for all. Nice in this day to see a traditional respectful clean motel offering a great night's stay to travellers. Hope to stop this way again as people in the town were nice as well. Appreciate the efforts this hotel puts out.

I came to lakeview this week to work, and wanted to stay in the hotel I used to stay in for reasons of good price, and to see how the renovations turned out. The price is very good, and the renovations were outstanding. They did a very good job remodeling this hotel. I met Edgar, and he was very courteous and accommodating. Even though the price is very reasonable, Edgar checked through some options to see if there were ways of giving me a discount…such as military service or other ways. He was kind enough to give me a discount even though I hadn’t requested one. The room was very nice! I stayed I a room that I had stayed in before the remodeling, and I was impressed! Nice carpeting, new walls and paint, new tiled bathroom, large shower, attractive furniture, and a comfortable bed. I will be doing more work in the future in Lakeview, and will definitely stay here again! Thank you Edgar!

Had an impromptu 2-night stay. We chose to come here after visiting another hotel in the area that had a terrible odor. The staff at Oregon Trail are super courteous and helpful. The room and beds are in clean condition. Doggo drank the tap water just fine. Would definitely recommend this place for those looking for a clean, no frills, affordable stay.

It's fairly decent for the price, just the bare necessities & a place to rest. Their carpet wasn't vacuumed before our room was rented for a night. I'm not sure how busy they have or haven't been, but there were only 3 cars parked in the lot when we arrived.. so it didn't seem packed & overly busy..? 🤔 Everything else seemed okay.

Great customer service, they made an exception to their pet policy for us when they could have told us to leave. They appear to be in the process of updating the hotel but for now it leaves something to be desired. The room was reasonably clean. The linens need to be replaced, they are well used. Pillows are very flat. Nothing to set your bags on, had to leave them on the floor. Air conditioner works really well and there are good blackout curtains on the window. Quiet location. We stayed here because there was very little available in town when we booked and it wouldn't have been my first choice based on other reviews. However it gave us a place to stay a couple nights while we visited the area. I likely wouldn't have stayed here if the best western had been available though. You get what you pay for, got a cheap rate on Expedia. But I'm glad I didn't pay more, would have been even more disappointed in the state of the room.

Wonderfully remodeled, clean well appointed and very comfortable! Staff was friendly and accommodating. For some reason I ended up paying more for my reservation than my friend who booked her reservation on the same site as I did. Only difference was I was in the disabled room and her room had 2 beds...this seems a bit odd to me, but regardless the stay was very nice! I highly recommend a stay here!

I hesitate to even give one star. This place is horrible! We found a vape tool inside the sheets. Disgusting. Along with that no mattress pads. The sheets did not fit properly so in an attempt to adjust them I noticed the mattress was stained (blood?) At the time we tried calling the front desk to make them aware. No answer. Got on line and called that number. No answer. Went to check out in the morning and guess what? No answer! Keep driving past this place. Find another place to spend the night.

The hotel is an absolute gem hidden within Lakeview Oregon.
Very clean rooms.
Very cordial staff.
Very safe and secure parking lot.
Very affordable.
I am now changing my monthly route to include staying here.
