One of my fav local spots in Cleveland! It’s a small space with no indoor seating, so more of a grab and go place. Parking can also be a bit difficult. Staff are friendly and efficient!

As for food: Their breads and pastries are all amazing. They have so many options and I’ve had a handful and they were all delicious. Their pork bani mi is great - lots of meat and the French baguette is delicious! Only thing I’d change is maybe having the veggies be a bit more pickled (but personal preference).

Usually a great experience. However, the person that waited on me this morning was so mean. I ordered a croissant and cup of coffee. She gave me the pastry and then proceeded to get to work behind the counter. When I asked about the coffee, she said she would get it, gave me cross-eyed look and kept working on the counter. Finally, her coworker served me. I was the only person in the store, so not sure why she had to be so mean!

Truly wonderful breads in a cute space with friendly staff. The best baguette this side of the Atlantic I’ve had in years, just exceptional. Sourdough bâtard and rosemary focaccia were also delicious. Coffee was rich and smooth. We didn’t try any sweets, but they looked gorgeous.

Beautiful breads. I got the prosciutto sandwich, apricot crossiant and chocolate crossiant.
The sandwich was crunchy yet airy on the inside. The creaminess of the butter and prosciutto melted together and the arugula gave it a fresh taste.
The crossiant was crispy, buttery and airy. Lovely with a cup of coffee in the morning.
Will come back to try other sandwiches 💕

Wonderful place! I got a latte and a chocolate chip cookie, it was perfect! Little pricey, but not any more than most local trendy coffee shops. The sandwiches looked amazing, I definitely want to go back to try one. I liked that you could see into the kitchen, everything looked clean. Only negative, not very great bathrooms. Not kept to the same standard as the rest of the place.

Very tasty banh mi on fluffy well baked bread. Scrumptious oatmeal raisin cookie made for a spice forward desert. Staff is super nice. Atmosphere is laid back.

Very good precautionary measures for Covid - only 2 people at a time allowed. This is a measure which will help the citizens ward off infections while still trying to get their favorite morning breakfasts. The breads, croissants are delicious and the coffee has a distinct flavor which left me craving for more. Support support the local chain - doing an incredible job!!!

This review is based on 6 visits to On The Rise bakery. Their selection of breads is outstanding. My all time favorite - rosemary focaccia. The reason for 2 stars is my 3 experiences with tofu Bahn Mi. According to the website (and a sign inside the cafe), this sandwich should contain the following ingredients: Cleveland Tofu, Pickled Carrots and Daikon, Jalapeno, Cilantro, Special Sauce. I tried this sandwich 3 times. Only once I had cilantro and daikon. The other 2 times it was just a tiny bit of carrots, no cilantro, no daikon, and definitely no jalapeno. The photos clearly show that the sandwiches look very different. I do not know if this is a fault of a cook or deceptive trade practice and I am very shocked and disappointed.
