This location looks like a haunted restaurant. Most of the lights are busted on the outside of the building. The main sign is in need of repair. It's very dark in the parking lot. Please fix the building. If the building manager is comfortable with the outside looking unkept, who knows what they're sweeping under the rug inside of the restaurant that we can't see.

We had planned to go someplace new that I have been wanting to try for almost a year. The last time I remembered, they were closed for some reason. I remembered them earlier in the week, but they had a 35-45 minute wait after church. We decided to try them another day. We like OTB & it's one of our go-to places, even though we actually haven't been there in a while. I don't really like to order the same thing all the time, I like to try new dishes or just switch it around. I have been trying to really watch what I eat, and of course, how much. I haven't had one of my old favorites in a long time, and in looking at the calorie count, I see that it's actually one of the lowest in calories. They don't have the complete breakdown to compare protein & carbs, but coodo's for at least putting calories on their menus. I get so frustrated, after all these years, and in this day and time, when so many of us are trying to be health conscious, that the restaurant businesses are still not at least putting calories on their menus. At least for me, it does make a big difference, and it helps me a lot. Thank you. OTB. Samantha was our server, and she did a terrific job of keeping us happy. The manager came walking by several times, and at first, I hadn't figured out who she was yet. When Samantha was helping some other customers, she came by and asked if we needed a couple of Togo boxes and containers for our salsa and queso. We told her we also needed a sack for our chips and a bag to carry it all in. When Samantha came back by to check on us again, she asked if there was anything else we needed. I told her that her manager did a great job and relayed what all she had brought for us. I said, "She accidentally forgot the bag for the chips." I jokingly added, "I guess she's out of practice." When Samantha brought us the bag for our chips, my husband realized that the bag was there all along. The joke was on me. So sorry, Ms. Manager, you didn't forget one thing, you did an excellent job too! The only reason I gave a 4 on the atmosphere (I probably should have given it on service) is I am used to managers stopping by our table, introducing themselves, and asking if everything is satisfactory, or is there anything they can get for us. In this case, it would have been no, Samantha is taking great care of us. Then, we would have met you and hopefully remembered your name. Your food was very good and hot. I can't stand to have lukewarm or cold food.

Waiter was exceptional

Food was decent. My steak was pretty chewy and almost cold, however the taste was smokey and delicious.

Unsure if it was worth $130 for 5 people to eat though..

With the quality of the food, the prices need to be adjusted. Bottom line. I don't care about inflation or anything along those lines. That's their problem, not mine.

3 out of 5 stars. There's plenty of better Mexican restaurants for the price you pay.

We came in for a work lunch. We let the server Mary know in the beginning that we are all on our own check and we have an hour to eat. The food took forever, no server was really present and never saw a manager. We left without food. One server yelled at our server in front of us about how she wasn’t taking care of our table. Just seemed like a bad day for the staff and business at on the border. Probably won’t be back and sad we paid for food we didn’t get. Just some areas of opportunity for your restaurant.

I arrived at a different on the border location in town. Upon my arrival, it was evident that that location had closed down for good.
I called this location and Eric the manager, helped me with an Extracurricular order over the phone, insuring, that I received what I originally wanted at the other location. Everything was ready upon my arrival at this location, which was certainly an experience above and beyond! Thanks Eric for such great Service!

DO NOT ORDER THE FAMILY FEAST. Ordered family feast delivered for family. Says feeds 4-5. And it’s total trash. You might get 3 pushing four.
The protein amount is garbage. One Ck breast sliced. That same small amount for beef and pork and only n nine shrimp. I just spent 60$ at this restaurant for nothing.

On the Border… of Being Edible

Look, I don’t ask for much when I go out to eat—just food that doesn’t make me question my life choices. But On the Border really tested my patience.

First, the chips. Stale. I’m talking left out on the counter overnight during a humidity wave stale. They crumbled like ancient parchment in my hands. The queso? Cold. Not room temp, not lukewarm—COLD. As if they microwaved it, got distracted, and then just… gave up. Ever had cold, congealed cheese sauce? It’s like eating sadness with a spoon.

Then came the beans. Crusty. Not in the “nice crispy cheese layer” way, but in the “these have been sitting under a heat lamp since Tuesday” way. I tapped my fork on them, and I swear they echoed. The rice? Drier than my last relationship.

Service? Our waiter disappeared so long I thought he might’ve been on a spiritual journey. When he did return, he seemed just as disappointed in the food as we were.

All in all, On the Border left me on the edge—of ordering a pizza on my way home.
