What a beautiful part of the country - my first time to see spectacular fall color and experience staying in an historic home. Darcy Miller's Old Stone House did not disappoint. Very homey, warm, plenty of room for our gathering of 10 family and friends from around the country. Since we took up all 7 bedrooms, Darcy was not on site, but made sure we had plenty of food provisions and snacks, comfy beds with lots of extra blankets and pillows, towels, as well as everyday items stashed in handy cabinets. We didn't want for a thing. The countryside surrounding is breathtaking - rolling hills, charming farms, green pastures with horses, and the local folks are warm and friendly. Being from a big city, it was refreshing not to see one speck of trash anywhere. Other than the gorgeous trees, my favorite local scene was seeing the Amish buggies being pulled by majestic horses (both buggy and horses were usually black). We got to ride in one, driven by a local Amish farmer. He was so friendly and genuinely enjoyed sharing local history with us. A visit to the town General Store was a real treat - lots of local handmade crafts and food. Wish we had more time there, so many things to see, but ran out of time.

Darcie was an amazing hostess. She is very kind, thoughtful, an amazing cook, excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable about the area! She even gave us snacks when we came home from our sleigh ride! 6 out of 5 stars!!!!

What a magical hideaway! The perfect quaint setting in Amish country. My husband and I felt right at home with host, Darcy. Our breakfast was a homemade feast of goodies, all from locally sourced farms and we were even given road snacks for our long drive home the second morning. Darcy truly went above and beyond to be a warm host. The pastures and horses gave a serene view from our king suite on the first floor. The historic homestead was charming yet had the modern comforts and space. We would highly recommend this home away from home for your stay in Amish country! Thank you, Darcy!

Darcy has hosted us several times. We love the quiet, home-like, laid-back atmosphere. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and delicious breakfasts. Our favorite place to stay!

Darcy was a wonderful hostess. We felt welcomed and at home. The location was perfect for us as we were attending a wedding at the Barn at Hart's Grove (only about 10 miles away). Our bedroom was located on the first floor at the front of the house. The king size bed was comfortable and it had a large bathroom ensuite. ||||The countryside is lovely. We visited Mary Yoder's restaurant and the Windsor Covered Bridge.

Darcy was a wonderful host and she made us feel so comfortable staying at our first B&B. The house is beautiful with great positive energy. Breakfast was awesome we had homemade bread 🍞 that I think was Amish made as well as awesome Amish made cinnamon rolls. We had orange juice and coffee and snacks in our beautiful room with a tv and a big bathroom. The bed was king sized and so comfortable. We definitely are going to keep coming back. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Darcy made our stay wonderful and we can’t wait to come back and stay. God bless ... see you soon ☺️

We stayed at the Old Stone House on our way to and from another B & B in Ohio. The innkeeper, Darcy, was very friendly, as were her grown children and her son’s girlfriend. The second time we stayed there, we enjoyed a movie with Darcy. There was a large smart TV in the common room, and a large flat-screen TV in our room. Our king-size bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was fairly large. There were abundant snacks and cosmetics for our use. Darcy was very accommodating about serving us breakfast later since we are not early risers.||||There was a nice front porch overlooking the Amish countryside. Beware, however, that the last step down onto the porch has an optical illusion where it looks as though there are no more steps, since the porch and steps are the same color, and I tripped twice, once on each night’s stay.||||The bathroom window shade was a little transparent, but i think we were far enough from the road that no one could see in.||||We felt welcome and relaxed and appreciated the interaction with the innkeeper and her family.

Great place to stay. Hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Didn’t give a five-star rating only because the breakfast consisted of coffee and cinnamon buns which were store bought. The room was lovely and we had a private bathroom which we greatly appreciated. We had a view of the Amish neighbor’s farm. It was peaceful and quiet. We stayed one night and enjoyed the surroundings very much. Dinner at Vinny’s Italian Kitchen was fantastic!!! Thanks for the recommendation, Darcy!
