As someone who travels a lot this place was on point!!! Service and atmosphere amazing. Food was great. The only thing I believe anyone really needs to know is you get only nc BBQ sauce here. So if you do not like vinegar based I highly suggest not trying it. Even the desserts were fantastic.

Will always be one of my fave hole in the wall bbq joints, with every bit of meat and sides coming out darn delicious ever since I was a little girl! Been visiting on my mountain trips since I was a little tike and it's definitely a place you should stop in and indulge in quality meat, quick and kind service, and tasty sides/apps. Their onion ring batter is superb and pork rinds the best I've ever eaten, so dang good! I've had ribs, brisket, chicken tenders, pork, almost everything on the menu over the years and have never been disappointed. I forgot our waiter's name on the last visit and there is also a gentleman that busses tables with a quickness I have never seen! He darts around the dining room and turns over a table in what seems like 20 seconds flat. You will know who I am talking about when you see him zip through the place! He is exceptional at his job, and you can tell the energy he puts into his tasks. This place is no frills, but darn good on the grills!

Had pulled pork, baked beans, and slaw. The pulled pork was good. Not too smoky and a little dry. Beans were good. And I did like the slaw. It's a little sweet, the way I like it.

The absolute best thing on their menu, hands down is the house made pork rinds. They come out to the table hot and still crackling. And they are delicious.

Other than that I had high expectations for this place that claims they have the best slow cooked pork but was highly disappointed with my pork plate. A heaping serving of the dryest pork I have ever experienced, and not even hot. It was room temp so by the time I slathered it in sauce it was cold. Other than that our experience was perfectly fine, all of the sides we ordered were good.
We will give it another try in hopes that it was just a one off day.

Looks like a cute family restaurant, but no delicious smell of BBQ smoke inside or outside.
Brunswick stew had almost no flavor. The pulled pork plate (chopped real tiny) held a LOT of flavorless pork. Potato salad was decent (has pimentos in it - weird), the coleslaw was good (shredded and chopped). The pork rinds were delicious, but you'll need to add salt.

We come from Florida and had lunch and it was absolutely amazing. All the people were cool as a fan, food was amazing and super affordable. Highly recommend the pork rinds
