Be aware -this timeshare should not be part of RCI anymore. The first unit had BED BUGS and we were moved to an old unit on the first floor overlooking the parking lot. We could see everyone coming in and out of the building and guess what they could see us! We also heard the elevator going up and down since it was next to our dining room. The lamp in my room didn't have a shade, the furniture looked like from the 80s and the utensils were minimal. Bring scissors and a cutting knife if you want to cook. The sauna was super old and the beach was a short strip of deep sand maybe 30 feet. Go somewhere else if you want to have a good time.

Ocean 99 is an older condominium complex right on the beach. Probably because it's older, the living area is very large and comfortable. Private gated parking is provided. The pool area is nice with easy access to the beach. It was quiet and all the employees were courteous and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

This resort is really nice with great views. We liked the fact that it only has 21 units, so the pool wasn't super crowded and there's easy access to the beach. Our unit was larger than most we have stayed in at other resorts so that was nice too. The staff was super helpful and friendly as well.

This 1980s building has an excellent location on the beach. While the kitchen and bathrooms show their age, everything was clean, comfortable and worked. We had ocean view rather than ocean front and enjoyed time on the roomy balcony. The common areas have a small pool, plenty of seating for people and parking for cars. We would happily stay again.

First time staying with 99, great experience!
Ron and staff are extremely informative and helpful, the property looked well, pool was closed half the week for maintenance, no biggie. The room was huge, oceanfront, large wrap around balcony. Some of the furniture was a bit dated, no biggie either. Clean, everything worked as it should, good cable package, HBO and lots of others. I like the security of 99, garage is locked when office staff leaves, gate and doors are operated with room keys. Great stay!

Ormond Beach is a nice area, with few high rises; however, vehicles are allowed to drive ON the beach, which is both unattractive and dangerous for children, especially. We were here on a timeshare trade and as far as first impressions go, ours was unpleasant. One enters through an underground garage, where there is a dingy, office and tiny lobby. The managers immediately informed us that check out is at 9 a..m. We've been to condos all over the world and never encountered a 9 a.m. check out. Most are 11 a.m. and some are ten, but never 9. It made our last day chaotic. We offered to pay to extend our checkout but were told, "No." And, if one is late checking out, there's a $50. penalty. |The plates in the unit are small, more like salad plates. We asked for larger dinner plates and received them, but quickly realized why they don't stock the condo with them. The don't fit in the cabinets. None of the knives were sharp enough to cut anything, and the salad bowls are really small. I asked for larger bowls and did receive some. |During the week, there was never any services. I usually tip well, but didn't, because no one ever came to ask if we needed more garbage bags or toilet paper or paper towels. There's a recycling bin on every floor, but ours was overflowing, because they're only emptied on Saturday. There are no real beach towels to speak of, only tattered second rate room towels and the window to receive them is usually closes.|We were not provided bath floor mats, which I happened to notice were available when I walked by the storage closet in the basement. We were only given a bottom sheet for the fold out bed in the living room, not a top sheet.|On the plus side, the TV is a really nice flat screen and we enjoyed watching some college bowl football games. The beds are comfortable. The bathtub had a little black mold around the water spigot which I tried in vain, to clean off. I put my finger inside the water spigot and more black mold came out. In fairness, we've had this problem at other timeshare condos, as the maids apparently don't get down low enough to see the mold. That's my theory, anyway. At timeshares we actually OWN, I ask that maids come up and clean more thoroughly. This time I was with my family and frankly, didn't want the intrusion.|You're warned not to move the furniture or pay a $125. penalty.|The hangers in the closets are cheap plastic that are designed to make sure someone doesn't steal them. The worst I've ever used. They're attached to plastic rings which are difficult (for an old lady like me) to get the hangers in.|In contrast, we are now at the Marriott Sabal Palms in Olando which has nice, wooden hangers.|The pool is heated but totally inadequate on the 50 degree days we experienced. There is not hot tub at the resort. The heating is on a timer and only periodically can you stand near the jets to get warm. The pool should have been heated to a warmer temperature. And the towels should be plush and large to help stay warm when one is freezing.|There is no garbage disposal in the sink. |There is plenty of storage shelves and cabinets for storing food. The Marriott we're in now has practically no storage for food, so that's one thing Oceanside 99 has going for it.|We were in an ocean view, not oceanside, condo but the view was very nice. Every unit has a decent view of the ocean.|The fitness center has ONE treadmill, a outdated universal machine and a rickety stationary bike. We used the treadmill and it worked surprisingly well.|Finally, a sign we noticed on the LAST day, says no inflatable pool toys are allowed. Had we not brought some (not having seen the sign earlier) our granddaughter would not have had much fun. The place is not really designed for children. The game room has nothing designed for small children.

We have owned a week here for 40 years and enjoy the large suites and balconies. There is plenty of room for 2, 4, and six people. We haven't used the pool since our grandkids were little, but it does look inviting.

Stayed here with friends in December 2022. The location is awesome and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. It felt like we were part of the family. The condos were recently refreshed and my only complaint would be the bedding and pillows could be updated. They were what you would find in a low-rent motel and I'm glad I brought my own pillow. The beds themselves were very comfortable. The patio doors are amazingly airtight and soundproof. Even when the wind was fierce, we couldn't hear a thing. If you are a tea drinker, I recommend bringing a tea kettle as none were provided.
