I loved this location and the room was good. Note: no hair conditioner is provided - shampoo only. This is not the norm for hospitality services. I'd go back and take my own conditioner next time. Be prepared.

What a gem!! For $125 a night this place is a steal!! The cabins are in a grove of Redwoods!! You drive through the trees throughout the property!! Flowers and banana slugs everywhere!! The rooms were large and clean!!

The room was terrible-there was mold everywhere: on the headboards, on the top quilt, mold on the bathroom ceiling and around the edge of the bathtub--not to mention the giant spider in the tub. The bathroom trash can was full of trash. If not for drivers' fatigue, the guests would have demanded a refund and found another motel.|One gentleman experienced aggravated asthma because of the air. When they complained to the apparent manager, he responded only that "no one has been in there for a long time". The pizza he recommended was the worst ever, and even the morning donuts at the gas station were stale. Trinidad had previously been a place to dine and refresh; I hope it will be again.

This place could be great, but it's closer to good. We stayed in the mobile home since there was 5 of us, it's pretty old. The grounds are beautiful and nicely kept and the mobile home was clean except it needs all hardwood floors throughout since carpet is very stained due to being on the coast. I recommend bringing your own bedding for the pull out couches or sleeping bags on them and bring your own pillows. We didn't shower since tub was a little questionable. The restaurant on the grounds, which is highly rated, wasn't open till noon on Saturday which was weird to us since they advertised breakfast and not open fairly early on a Saturday is a missed opportunity. I've stayed in the cabins years ago and they are clean and had a good time in them as well. If you are an upscale person, in your mind, this won't be the place for you. It's a tad rugged but has it's own charm. I've had many years of great memories here and will continue to stay here even though it falls a little short on being modern, but that's part of it's charm and the price is right for me.

I enjoyed the area so much I wanted to stay 2 nights- this place was cheap ( around 96 a night)so we inquired. We were shown unit number 9 and it had a strong odor of something like real strong mold or mildew? We left and thought about it-and figured we could handle it - so booked 2 nights. We regretted this decision- so I am leaving an honest review- we were glad to have a cheap and safe room but the first night I did not sleep due to this feeling of being stung with the strong odor all night in my nostrils . We opened the window and that did help- but we really felt that we could not spend a whole lot of time there so spent money eating and staying out shopping-that could have bought a nicer room for the night. I want to be honest and constructive so I will say that this place is amazingly special and nice but the toilet paper needs to be picked up back by the pond- and if people are using that area as a bathroom at night, something needs to be done about that! We walked around and even thoughtthe staff was cleaning the parking lot with leaf blowers, they didn't seem to really pick up the stuff like the " tp" and gum and cigarette butts. This place just really needs to be clean -and I would give it 5 stars. They need to replace the unit I was in - as something must be in the structure itself to smell that way- staff was helpful when I needed anything. But we were relieved when we were able to finally check out. Be good and preplan accommodations next trip.

Old and dated but the trees are beautiful.
If you want luxury stay at a $200.00 a night place. The bar is a nice feature.
The town is wonderful and you can walk to the ocean from here. This place was fine for a shower and decent bed. $75.00

Had to stay here because we were experiencing homelessness at the time , rooms are already overpriced as it is . No WiFi we ended up checking out late because our car wouldn’t start and we got yelled at and physically threatened by the owner that we would get shot . I have it on video and If you want to feel safe I wouldn’t recommend staying here because there is this I believe he is crazy or has mental issues but his name is Wayne and he resides there as well and he was harassing me and my boyfriend the whole time (btw we are also minors ) and he made us feel super unsafe and uncomfortable saying that “he has to know who stays here and he needs to know names “ because other wise he “won’t feel safe “ when he was a grown man approaching me and my man as minors . I have a video of him screaming at us and walking up to us harassing us for no reason whatsoever. We were already having a rough day as it is . He had gave me an anxiety attack and my dad almost had to hit him for him to leave us alone . Cops were called but nothing happend because we never showed them the videos because we just were trying to get out of that situation and not escalate it anymore then wayne had. Anyways wouldn’t recommend if you like to feel safe where you stay.
