Got delivery from this place. The food was tasteless and was just mush. The salmon sushi was like warm in some places as well? Didn’t feel comfortable eating it and it wasn’t worth finishing because it was that unpleasant to eat. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

I have to be honest I could only take a few bites...this place was depressingly empty and slow when I came in to pick up my order of fried rice..
I had never been before but it's close by and I like Asian food. Thought fried rice was a safe choice...hard to mess that up right?
Well I was wrong, sadly...the portions were good but it was overcooked and burnt throughout...the few pieces of chicken that could be found were small and slimy, not even sure they were cooked all the way (somehow)...

I would be very nervous to eat seafood from this place...let alone SUSHI 😳

I feel bad leaving this review but I have to be honest it's been one of the worst dining experiences I've had in years...

The menu has good variety and it was hard to choose. No combo meals, but plentiful servings.
I ordered House Fried Rice, Teriyaki Chicken, Dumplings (Pot Stickers) and a Spam Musubi.
This would feed 2-3 people easily.

I got my order to go, but there is indoor seating if you want to sit down.

The spicy beef shoryu Ramen, tempura shrimp tonkotsu Ramen, and vegetable Ramen were all super delicious and only $10-$11.50! I wouldn't have changed anything. They don't skimp out on the ingredients. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. We ate at the restaurant but so many people were picking up their orders.. it was a great sign how busy this place was! I would recommend and will be eating here again.

I ordered a California roll and the orange chicken bowl. The orange chicken was definitely over fried/cooked. With the sauce over the chicken, chewing it was nearly exactly like chewing rubber. The parts that were not sauced cut up the roof of my mouth. The broccoli absorbed a lot of the acidity from the orange sauce. Maybe that's what happens when it's delivered because it's steamed in a container for an extended amount of time. But, that was my experience. I felt an obligation to myself that if I bought it, I must eat enough to at least get 50% full. I spent the money, when I could have made myself dinner. The flavor isn't bad. But the sushi was very mediocre. But darn. I toughed it out, and now here's my review.

Ordered teriyaki chicken bowls and spring rolls through door dash. Food was completely inedible, like it was a week old. Big mistake ordering here, had throw $35 right in the trash and doordash says “ sorry, doesnt qualify for refund or credit”

Came here to try the Ramen and some sushi. I tried the pork chashu ramen and a dragon roll. They were both amazing. There was plenty of eel on the top and the ramen noodles are the good kind! The broth needed a teeny bit salt in my opinion but so good either way. The lady at the front was very nice as well. This is going to be my new go to place for ramen for sure since I am down the road. I can't wait to try some poke, sides, and bowls next time.p

NoRa Asian Fresh: A Hidden Gem with Room for Growth

NoRa Asian Fresh in El Mirage, Arizona, has been a polarizing spot for diners, with reviews ranging from glowing five stars to dismal one-stars. Admittedly, I was skeptical before walking in, but I left with a clear picture of what this restaurant truly offers.

Let’s start with the environment: lackluster at best. This is not a place for frills or ambiance, so if you’re looking for a cozy, curated dining experience, you’ll be disappointed. The no-frills setup carries over to their service model. While the staff were polite and helpful, the layout of the cash register and point-of-sale system limits the quality of interaction they can offer. It’s clear the focus here isn’t on service or atmosphere but rather on the food itself.

Speaking of food, that’s where NoRa Asian Fresh shines. The chicken egg rolls were decent—not a standout, but satisfying enough. However, the Spicy Beef Tonkatsu stole the show. This dish was a pleasant surprise, with tender chunks of beef throughout a flavorful broth that packed the perfect amount of spice. The rich, satisfying flavors of the beef tonkatsu alone justify giving this place a chance.

In summary, NoRa Asian Fresh isn’t trying to be a fine-dining establishment—it’s a spot where the food speaks for itself. While the atmosphere and service could use improvement, the culinary experience, particularly the Spicy Beef Tonkatsu, is worth the visit. If you can look past the barebones setting and focus on what’s in your bowl, you’ll likely leave satisfied.

Rating: 4/5 – Great food, but the environment and service could elevate the experience. 🫡
