Walked into the Wharf location with 10min before close tonight, as I was told, Google shows 9:00. I asked to have a dozen oysters shucked and was told I was too close to close. If they were busy and not watching tv on their phone I could understand but it was dead. I did not understand but I left. This company has the best oysters but the customer service could use some work. Next time just flip the sign if you do not want the business

Stop in if'n you’re in the neighborhood and the light’s on! Super nice little store with super nice ladies running the place. Got the low down on these local bivalves including a delicious sample! It was great and I don’t really like them raw! Scored some fun t-shirts and will definitely stop back. They should consider tours of the
actual oyster farming. Not sure I’d kill for them but would definitely thumb wrestle for them!

If you like raw oysters, you need to visit Murder Point Oysters. This is not a restaurant. It is their store front where you can buy in the shell oysters and Murder Point merchandise. They do have a deck out front where you can enjoy a few right after you buy them. They'll even step out and give you a quick shucking lesson if you've never done it before. The farmed oysters have a deep slightly salty taste. We ate a dozen straight off the shell and purchased more to take home and grill. Great tasting oysters for those that like them, and a great experience for those new to the delicacy. A must visit.

I had seen these on the menu in a few restaurants. I finally had a chance to try them a few months ago at their market in Bayou la Batre. While eating my oysters on the deck, an older gentleman drove up and proceeded to offer to help me shuck my oysters (that’s never happened before), unbeknownst to me, he was the owner. The oysters were fabulous! I went back the next day for 3 dozen more. This week my cousin picked up a hundred for our Thanksgiving get together and everyone of us, all oyster connoisseurs, agreed they were the best we ever had!
