Wow! What an amazing experience!
We arrived on Saturday and got all settled in. The owner knew I couldn’t stand tap water so she even gave me my own personal Brita for the room! My husband and I did a store run and bought a fan so I could sleep. (I like the noise) When we returned the owner insisted that I use hers so I could return the one I bought. We had paid for the family style dinner for that night so we relaxed and enjoyed the surrounding sites.
The meal we chose was the spinach casserole with potatoes and it was so good! We sat at the table with the owner and was later joined by her son in law. It was such an amazing experience to be able to share stories with each other. We even brought a bottle of wine for them to enjoy but they kindly wanted my husband and I to enjoy it for ourselves. (How sweet!)
We talked for hours and were even able to see other guests arrive which was so cool. (It was also great to see the owner take the time to make sure everyone was taken care of)
The next morning we made sure we were up for breakfast at 8:30 and I am so glad we did! The food was so yummy and we got to sit with another couple at the table. Towards the end of our meal the family needed to feed one of the cows. (They have over 30 on property!) I was so excited when they asked if I wanted to bottle feed one! It was so cool!
We did our own thing during the day and planned to get dinner in the town, but we took advantage of the fire pit. We made s’mores (thanks to their help with the fire) and relaxed in the backyard while admiring the view. (You can even see the river!)

It was so cool to stay in a cozy home in between busy work weeks. It was also our first experience with a family style breakfast. (Dinner if you pay for that. It is an add on. Highly recommend!)

The room was so cozy and the shower was huge!

I felt like we were accepted as family the entire time.

We ended our last day with a breakfast with two other couples, and enjoyed a relaxed morning before heading out. We had waffles, eggs, bacon and homemade grape juice. Very delicious!

All in all an A+ experience. Thank you Carol.

I loved my stay here. I loved Carol, Xena and Fluffy. The rooms are huge with lots of antiques. I big, deep tub to soak in. The view from my room was breathtaking!! I was so quiet. There is a kitchenette in the loft for us to make coffee. Our sweet host, Carol ask us what we wanted for breakfast. It was so delicious with homemade oatmeal molasses bread with homemade plum jelly, fritada and potatoes and coffee. Long story short, Carol made,me feel like family. I will definitely be back💋

This was the best B&B on our recent road trip to and from Portland. Beautiful rural setting, a gorgeous modern house with top notch convenience for guests (giant room, comfortable bed, well-stocked kitchenette and a cozy little side room for our kid). Carol and her family were very flexible and welcoming upon our later than expected arrival, and showed us around the farm the next day. Would definitely stay again when passing through.

Easy to miss and confusing entrance not recommended for persons with limited mobility.
Once you wind down a 6 mile narrow repaired 30mph road LOOK CLOSE at the mailboxes because the only sign is set up in blackberries along the narrow 1 lane 1/4 mile dirt driveway with multiple cattle gates you need to open and close.
The property has roaming cattle and scattered old buildings/stalls/70s trailer/garage etc.
Once we reached the lodge we tryed to get refund do to all the rooms being upstairs. my mother having lung damage and on oxygen she is unable to go up and down those throughout our stay. The owner said instead she would let us stay in the family unit downstairs. We decided to stay instead of taking the loss of money. The room was not ready and had some construction being done The room had a mod podge of furniture and decore with outdated country charm items. The beds are amazingly comfortable and seemed modern however the security was bad. One door led out to the common lodge sitting area and kitchen it had NO lock at all so anyone could walk right into our room. The breakfast was timely and well made in the great room kitchen. There is a very nice rustic sitting area in the lodge entrance. Depending on the room the view is limited to a valley river out the back of the lodge, no ocean views.
If your wanting a place to stay away from everthing and care less about updated furniture or ocean views, once you figure out the entrance it might be for you.
Caution anyone hauling a camper or low clearance cars.

Arrived from 8 hr trip only to be treated rudely because we brought a 5 lb Yorkie with us that (keep in mind) slept in the back seat of our car and never once touched foot on the property. As we walked in, we were greeted by the owner but she was completely rude and acted annoyed as if we irritated her because she was having dinner with other guests. Then, before we even brought our stuff in we let her know we had a dog but he would be sleeping in the car so we could forfeit our reservation and stay elsewhere. She was fine as long as he didn't come in the house. After settling in we went downstairs to ask for a recommentation for a restaurant in the local area. We even asked if there was a certain time to be back in to be courteous. She was drinking wine and still eating with her husband and other guests and was totally rude as if we were once again annoying her. We left and ate our dinner 10 mins away. Upon arriving back she let us know breakfast was at 8:30am. The room we stayed in was comfortable and clean except a few daddy long legs but we slept well. The next morning we woke to the smell of biscuits & Gravy and went down for breakfast at 8:45 the table was full of dirty plates and nobody around. My husband went outside and she was milking a cow and didn't have the courtesy to say Good morning as the other guests had she actually didn't even acknowledge him. Didn't ask if we wanted breakfast or anything. He hung out for 15 mins or so and still nothing. So he came back in and we went upstairs got ready and left. She was completely rude and we will never return. Great B&B experience NOT. ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS WE CHOSE TO STAY WERE WAS THE STELLER FOOD REVIEWS WHICH WAS THE EXPERIENCE WE DID NOT GET SO THIS IS WHY I AM LEAVING 1 STAR. IF YOU RUN A HOSPITALITY BUSINESS YOU SHOULD TREAT ALL YOUR GUESTS WITH THE SAME RESPECT EVEN IF YOU DONT LIKE THEM FOR SOME REASON. THANKS FOR THE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!

We stayed at the little rental house below the bed and breakfast. Very peaceful and quiet. Enjoyed the cows, bunnies and quail. Only reason I give 3 stars is it looks like some DIY reno going on that needs finishing. The house is very roomy though and we enjoyed our stay.

Very incinsiderate, rude hosts. First off, we show up at 6pm and they are eating dinner with two of their guest. We hadn't had anything to eat since 9 am. The owners are rude people who didn't really greet us. They were too involved with the other guest they were drinking wine with. They didn't offer dinner even though we could see that they had enough to accomidate. We were told breakfast would be at 8:30. I come down at 8:45 to see an arrangement of messy plates from the other guest. So I go outside to see her husband milking a calf. The reat of the guest were outside along with the wife. I recieved a good morning from a couple but not from the owners. I waited for the owners to ask if we wanted them to clear the plates on the table so we can eat. Nothing. They didn't even ask if we were hingry. I am starving right now and very irritable. I can smell home made biscuits and gravy even in my room with the door closed and it is 9:58am.

We were looking forward to staying at Mt. Emily Bed and Breakfast for a weekend at the coast. We drove all the way to the venue to find someone in the driveway letting us know that the Bed and Breakfast was closed, and we no longer had a place to stay that evening. I understand that times are tough and am sad they needed to close down due to COVID, however it's unfortunate that this gentleman claimed that they tried to get ahold of me via phone and email, neither of which were true (my voicemail still had plenty of room and I received no emails until AFTER the intended date, thanking us for our stay! His claim of a "wrong email" is blatantly untrue.) He assured us that we would easily get a refund by calling Expedia, who would then contact the venue to issue our refund.

Long story short, Mt. Emily does not have a working phone number so Expedia was unable to get ahold of them. My 5 emails went unanswered, as well as multiple messages through their website. I finally had to file a dispute with my credit card to get the refund weeks later.

I'm sure that our stay would have been lovely at the Bed and Breakfast. However, I am incredibly displeased by their lack of availability and lying that they tried to cancel with us just a few days before the trip. They lost current and future business with us.
