We enjoyed our stay, Frank is really a nice guy. The room was clean and the amenities were nice. The bed was firm but we slept well. I'd stay again and recommend to others.

GREAT PLACE! Frank, and Midnight, were so welcoming. The property is beautiful and well kept. Just a few minutes from the main center of town. The rooms are decorated beautifully. The beds are comfy. The towels are thick and fluffy. The rooms are just about soundproof. Will DEFINITELY be back for another stay!

Our room was very clean and comfortable. The owner Frank is such a nice guy and you can tell he takes great pride in his property. We were so close to downtown and lots of hiking trails. We highly recommend staying here. The location is so quiet but so close to everything.

Perfect location! Very close to downtown Clayton which has cute shops including a coffee shop (love coffee so a definite plus). We stayed in The Mountain View Cottage and it did not disappoint. We only stayed 3 nights and we're mostly out and about with family. I would've liked to stay a little longer to explore the trail on the property and use the firepit outside. Frank was an awesome host, friendly and very hospitable. Frank takes pride and good care of his resort and it shows! He has a few projects inprogress on the property and I can't wait to see the finished product, I'm sure they will be amazing as he rennovated the cottage himself and IT IS BEAUTIFUL! Keep building Frank! Hope to see you soon and thank you again.

Enjoyed our stay here! The room gave a cabin feel to it and was clean. At first some of the display in the office made me worry, but Frank, the owner was exceptionally nice and that helped us to comfortably put it behind us. He gave us a tour of not only our room but amenities on the property as well. He also gave us some recommendations of things to do in the area. I knew that he was busy before our arrival, and for him to take his time and do that meant a lot. A worker also greeted us when leaving, asking if we needed anything before leaving. If I am in the area, I would stay here again.

We stayed only a night but Frank was such a great host! He made sure we were welcomed as soon as we pulled up. The rooms were cozy. The area is beautiful! Definitely recommend.

I’ve lost count of how often we have stayed at this wonderful getaway in Clayton, GA! We’ve stayed in all the rooms and cottages at least once, and some of them multiple times. We’ve been here as a couple, and with grown kids, and I’ve brought friends for girl’s trips. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the beds are so comfortable, and the decor is homey and sweet. There are kitchenettes in the rooms and full kitchens and w/d in the cottages, grills and fire pit on site, lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful views. There’s good Wi-Fi and big TVs, too.
The town of Clayton is a gem, with great shops, restaurants, a craft beer spot, a distillery and vineyards in driving distance. From the Mountainaire, you can walk to Main Street in Clayton in 10 to 15 minutes.
Frank, the proprietor of Mountain Aire, is such a wonderful caretaker of the property and his guests. He has great projects in the works for glamping, which we can’t wait to see. He loves his home town and knows all the activities, scenic sites, and eateries. Midnight, the resident kitty, is just as welcoming. Coming to the Mountain Aire feels like coming home, from our very first time to all the visits that came after, and into the future. Treat yourself to a stay here…the comfort and hospitality are second to none!

From the personal welcome note, the owner apologizing for not adding my daughter's name to it and greeting tour the service was amazing. The room as furnished very well, includung an ice machine.
