Stayed for four nights. The staff were all friendly and courteous. No complaints. The rooms were, in my case, clean, though nothing special. I guess that’s in line with the typical motel model. The guests, however, were inconsiderate jerks. 1am, and they are yelling and laughing down the halls, without regard for anyone trying to rest. Called the desk, they apologized, and the loudness continued unabated. Lots of folks loitering in the parking lot at night, too. The noise coming from the floor above me with constant heavy moving and dragging was awesome. Location was convenient for my daily travel for the 4 nights, but the constant road noise from the street and highway was a great addition to my sleepless nights, but I don’t blame the motel for that. You may save a few bucks by staying here, however paying the extra to up-scale to an inn or hotel would be worth it if you want peace, rest and common courtesy, unless you are totally strapped for cash. I come to Decatur often, but this is my first and last time staying in Motel 6.
