First thing, It's labeled as a Japanese, hibachi restaurant. When you go in at first it seems authentic, but then you notice korean writings on the walls it kinda deflates the expectations. Then you have to wait for your entire party to get there before you can be seated. While your waiting you get a chance to see how much your .eat will cost you extra without even looking at the menu. 18% service charge just to eat at the hibachi, and even though your paying to be there, if you don't order from the hibachi menu, it's gonna cost you $10 more dollars. I had Yakisoba, yakiniku, 2 orders of gyoza (5 each), fried rice, and miso soup, my wife had lobster fried rice, and miso soup, our total was $160 before tip. Probably my last time there. It was my wife's birthday, and they asked if she wanted happy birthday on the picture in Japanese, well it was in Korean. If money is no object, the food and hibachi performance was great!

Im traveling to Valdosta for work and I was craving Japanes. I was disapointed. 18% added to the bill because you sit at the grill. If you are with a group and you share food instead of ordering your own you get charged $10. Its expensive place and you get small portions. See picture. That is the size of veggies they give you.. I hadnt touch them yet. Had to get a picture. Yum Yum sauce taste like mayo. Lets say I wont come back when I am back in town. I will say what i got the yaki something or other was good flavor, rice was bland. Really sad. Really hope i dont get sick.

The service here was very slow . We were seated and it took about 30 minutes before we even got anything to drink. 45 minutes for the soup and salad. After an hour of sitting there the chef finally got there. For the price this really isn’t worth all the waiting around. Our waitress seemed too busy with other tables
and that seems to be the reason we had so much waiting. Place seems kinda run down or like it needs a good deep clean.

Whenever I go to Mori I do expect a bit of a wait, however usually if I sit in the sushi bar it is only a few minutes. Their sushi is the best in town in my opinion. The Island roll is my personal favorite. I think the portions of the hibachi are good, however a little pricey. Can’t deny it tastes great though!

The people were nice and served well. The reason why they should have a rating of 2 stars is because of the following:
1. Understaffed- waited 45 min (20 to be seated at grill and 25 to eat)
2. Not enough portions for the price.
3. The price - too expensive (only 2 chefs, not enough food served, 18% auto gratuity)
Please see photos.
4. The miso soup is not good imo.
Out of all the hibachi places I've been to, they give you less than you payed for. Usually you get more rice and veggies at least.

$130 for 2 people. We weren't made aware of any up charges, and there were several! The lobster was tough and dry. The atmosphere was so dull and boring, we were definitely expecting more, especially for the 1hr45 that we drove. Won't return.

It was my first time going to Mori Japanese Steakhouse and I enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere and I loved our cook, I wish I could do some of those tricks he did for us at our table. For recommendations try the salmon and shrimp it was good with the fried rice and the sauce they give you was perfection.

Regret dining here. Sat at the hibachi grill. Food was okay. Not worth the price. Yum yum sauce was watered down. Waitress in a hurry. Asked for a drink menu. She handed me one but did not come back for my order. Felt incredibly rushed. Our grill cook was awful. Banged the utensils on the grill and spun an egg. One egg he was playing with broke and the white splattered on the table in front of my plate. No one cleaned it up. He kept cooking. Guy thought he was a stand up comedian. I had brought my 19 year old son and his friends for his birthday. Made comments about me being busy to have all these kids. Asked them what they did for a living. My son has a crap job and some of these kids are still looking for work so it was embarrassing for me and them considering we were sharing a table with other people not in our party. Asked if my son and the guy he was sitting next to were a couple when they weren't. Chef was smug and thought he was the life of the party at the diners expense. Made similar comments to the other party at our table. Asked if there was a celebration but I don't know why. Nothing was done. I didn't have time to ask for a dessert as the waitress brought us boxes and the check right away. Many of our guests had never been to a hibachi before, and I was excited for them, but his was just a sad experience.
