We stayed here as a small group of ladies from our church as a retreat...and we sure picked the right place! The new owners, Lee and Carla, couldn't have been more accommodating and nice. The cabin was absolutely spotless, the kitchen was outfitted nicely and there were plenty of towels in the bathroom! Nice sized TV in the living room, good furniture, plenty of pillows on the beds, good water pressure throughout the cabin. The area is beautiful and we walked down to the lake, where there is a swimming and fishing dock that would be great in the summer...we saw deer every day, and the song birds were out in full force every morning..so enjoyable!|We were checked on daily to make sure we had all we needed and extra blankets were provided immediately upon request by one of our ladies (-: We have spread the word to other groups in our church that Mockingbird is the place to stay, and we'll be back again later this year or in the spring next year! The new owners of the resort are doing a great job! They are doing upgrades and keeping everything taken care of! We love this resort and have been coming for 23 years staying at least 4 weeks each year. Some years as much as 10 weeks. We are returning in a week to spend a week with grandchildren to celebrate school’s end.

Oh my goodness! What a gem this place is! The owners are friendly and accommodating, and the cabins are clean, comfortable, and quiet. We were here for a wedding, and it was just perfect. The location is gorgeous, and I felt so rejuvenated and refreshed after our stay. My daughter (11) enjoyed it thoroughly and said she can't wait to go back, either. The woods, lake, and peaceful atmosphere are just what the doctor ordered! This is the perfect place to get your rest and recreation (or boating/fishing adventure, your choice), and I can't recommend this place highly enough! I'd give it more than 5 stars if this site would let me.

A quaint place to rent cabins, with lake access only a 3-5 minute walk away. The owners are incredibly kind as well! The only thing missing were some of the standard amenities you've come to expect, however providing my own coffee meant picking out what I liked and also gave me the opportunity to check out a local coffee shop that was excellent. Be warned though, town is a 15-20 minute drive away, so stock up first.

I was visiting during the off season, which meant everything was very quiet and peaceful. Overall if you're looking for a cabin-in-the-woods type getaway with beautiful lake access and dock, this is your place!

This resort is everything you need for a relaxing night or week. The owners go over the top making sure that your stay will be a good one.
Cabins are old school cool! Very clean and well kept. Location to the lake is a short walk from the cabins. There is a huge covered dock for guest to bring their boats as well as a couple of pontoon boats you can rent. They may have a fishing boat also, not sure.

My wife and I were traveling around Missouri and Arkansas looking for a possible retirement home. Of all the hotels we stayed at Mockingbird Bay was the most fun and unique.

We loved our stay at the Mockingbird Resort for our family reunion. We had 2 cabins for our group and we all had a wonderful time. The cabins were very clean with plenty of room for everyone and fully stocked with everything we needed for cooking - we made a Thanksgiving style dinner one night. Most importantly my 91 year old mom really enjoyed the time at the resort with all her children. The pool was an added bonus. Thank you to the owners for our wonderful stay!

Our visit to Mockingbird Bay Resort was a wonderful experience. We stayed in a one bedroom cabin which was perfect for our needs and rented one of their pontoon boats to fish and explore the lake. The owners were more than gracious to show us some of the larger cabins they offer. The property is beautiful and we were very impressed with the level of cleanliness and attention to detail to make sure we were comfortable in every way. It was our first time to Norfork Lake so the advice from the owners about navigating the lake and local places to visit was greatly appreciated. We look forward to visiting again!

We were attending a wedding at nearby Equani Lodge, and had no idea how great Mockingbird Bay Resort would be in location, beauty, quiet, and the kindest owners. We were in one of the one bedroom cottages. It was cozy and just what we needed as our getaway. We also are talking about it being a really affordable place for a family reunion in the future, with all the different sizes of cottages, meeting spot, pool, and the fishing/boating dock just down the hill. Thanks for a wonderful quiet spot the last five days. 😊 AND for helping me with a wedding coordination detail over at Equani Lodge. Y’all are awesome!
