My wife and I stayed at the Mermaid Inn for a little winter getaway just before Christmas. We had a fantastic stay. The room was charming, clean and cozy. The pillows were excellent and the bed was comfy! We got excellent sleep. The hostess even left us amazing fresh baked cookies the evening we arrived!

The location was perfect. We were a short walk from Mystic Seaport and downtown Mystic for historical tours. Restaurants were also a short stroll away.

Lastly, the breakfast was truly transcendent. I would go back for that alone. We had options each day and everything we tried was delectable. The French toast, Quiche, thick cut bacon were all elite.

This is the bed and breakfast to be at in Mystic for a romantic getaway.

Staying at the Mermaid Inn was a dream come true! I planned a solo trip to Mystic and briefly researched before booking. All the reviews were NOT exaggerating! It was a truly lovely stay filled with warm hospitality and a beautiful extension of experiencing Mystic as a first time visitor. I would recommend the Mermaid Inn to anyone looking for a home-like atmosphere, quaint thoughtful details and the most delicious breakfasts! I’ll be dreaming about this stay indefinitely.

Staying at the Mermaid Inn of Mystic was just as dreamy as I imagined. As a first time visitor to Mystic I was depending on reviews and I’m so glad all the reviews were spot on! My stay was picturesque from the gorgeous hand painted murals covering the bathroom walls to the freshly made breakfast every morning. If you want a cozy, comfortable place with warm hospitality then this is the place for you!

Josephine made our visit to Mystic so relaxing and enjoyable. The accommodations made us feel so comfortable and at home. We stayed in the Blue Room. There was nothing pretentious about the innkeeper or the inn. Like we were visiting close friends. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch swing and talking about where we would go. There was no rush to get anywhere as the location allowed us to park the car and walk through the lovely historic neighborhood to the waterside Mystic park and town. After our perfect sunset cruise on the Argia, we enjoyed dinner at S&P Oyster and a stroll back to the inn. Over breakfast the next morning, Josephine shared her story with us and it meant a lot to us. Connecting with an innkeeper enhances the visit. Your recommendation to visit Enders Island was so appreciated. We spent almost two hours walking the property and taking in the gardens, views and chapels. We can't thank her enough for telling us about it. I'll be bringing my sister and sister-in-law for a visit.

Enjoyed a perfect weekend at the Mermaid Inn. The Inn is charming, delightfully decorated, and impeccably clean and comfortable. Josephine is a welcoming host and each breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the tasty homemade cookies she offered us throughout our stay.

Pirate-themed escape rooms can sometimes be hit or miss, but this one nailed it! From the moment we entered, we felt like we were aboard a pirate ship, surrounded by treasure maps, nautical instruments, and pirate flags. The design was fantastic, with wooden crates, barrels, and even a mock cannon to complete the vibe.||The puzzles were well-integrated into the pirate theme, with plenty of maritime clues and treasure hunts that required both logic and physical interaction. One standout moment was when we had to navigate a ship’s wheel to unlock a hidden compartment—it felt like we were actual pirates searching for treasure.||The difficulty was just right. Some puzzles required teamwork, while others made us think outside the box. There was a fun sense of urgency too, with a timer ticking down as we searched for the final treasure. The final reveal was thrilling, and the “treasure” we found was a great touch!||This escape room is perfect for groups of friends or families. The combination of immersive theming, fun puzzles, and lighthearted adventure makes it a memorable experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a good time with a pirate twist.

Comfortable, close to town, calm quiet ambiance- very delicious breakfasts !|Josephine is a good host.|With a lot happening downtown Mystic this Inn an easy walk to events and restaurants. |Plus the gazebo- just lovely 😊||This is a return visit and am glad I did .

Staying at the Mermaid inn was the most delightful experience! The service was fabulous!! Josephine was a great host. We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary and enjoyed the town ! The inn was clean, quiet and has all the amenities needed for a cozy fall stay.
