I ordered: Chicken salad on lettuce, lavender ice coffee w/ oatmilk

Overall, I really liked this spot. They have a very clean and fitting atmosphere for the overarching theme of the restaurant. The food was tasty and the ingredients were fresh. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

The owner, who I didn't realize was sitting behind me at the time, kindly paused to ask if my coffee was okay after observing how I'd asked for a few things to make it taste better to me. She apologized for it not being right, which I personally appreciated.

We're very fortunate to have this gem in Montevallo!

I'd recommend this place to a friend and I look forward to returning to try more tasty menu items!

This cute café on Main Street has dining indoors and outdoors. We went for lunch after visiting the University of Montevallo. The menu has a variety of Southern influenced fair.

The firecracker salad was amazing. The salad was topped with rich cheddar savory bacon rashers and crushed firecrackers it was a great bite. I paired it with their crescent sandwich, which is a peanut butter and banana sandwich. They added mayo to make it perfect for me. The sandwich came with a small bowl of boiled peanuts, which had an depth of flavor I did not expect.

My daughter had a firecracker and pimento cheese appetizer. It brought the heat and she paired it with a vanilla milkshake, which was perfect.

10/10, would visit again. It again.

Love this little place! The food is great, and the shakes in particular are to die for. Awesome service, even on busy days, and a nice, cozy atmosphere!

Ordered 2 lattes, waited at least 30 minutes. Multiple staff kept apologizing for the wait. But like……30 minutes for 2 lattes. They kept saying “we’ve never been this busy before,” but I wouldn’t exactly have called it packed with customers. Latte was passable when I finally got it. Not horrible but not amazing.

Meri Moon is such a welcoming and warm addition to Montevallo. The staff were patient and helped me decide what to order. It’s the type of place that ends up in your weekly routine before you know it.

I am not sure what happened, if it was technical problems or just being understaffed, but I just spent 30 minutes waiting for an 8 dollar cup of coffee. They got the coffee and food for the ladies, who ordered 10 minutes after I did, in about 5 minutes, but those ladies knew the owner. Even after they received their food and coffee, I waited another 5 minutes, was served the wrong coffee, and then waited another 5 minutes to received the correct order. This made me late for work. I will try coming again and then update my review.

Had a great time at Meri Moon. Staff is amazing, friendly and on their game. Plenty of options on the menu. Those chips caught me off guard, I would highly recommend a visit.
