Ok so hear us out, Chef Jose's food is delicious and we still recommend him for events, but read on. The people at our wedding (and us) were so pleased by the food and the selection available. That said, our experience with the day's organization wasn't so great. We had a great initial meeting with Chef Jose to plan for our wedding, we were so impressed by his food offerings and his flexibility and willingness to operate a popcorn machine, maintain a cookie table, and accommodate numerous dietary needs. His price was also great on paper. Up to our wedding day, he was difficult to get ahold of at times but did his best to accommodate changes to our wedding and special requests like dietary, additional food services, specialty drinks at the bar, etc. We had a change to the bar just days before our wedding and he was flexible.

Day of the wedding however, we felt pretty disappointed with the organization of everything. The staff there seemed to not have been clued in to the details of our cocktail hour, cookie table, bar, and evening schedule. We had previously confirmed all of these details with Chef Jose via email and felt that none of that went smoothly. We found ourselves having to give direction to the staff at the beginning of our reception when we were trying to continue with the schedule and visit with our friends and family. Also, the bartenders were an hour late and our family had to step in for cocktail hour. All in all, we loved Chef Jose's food and our guests had a great time, raving about the food and drink, but we felt that the staff organization and communication overall could improve.

We used Melendez catering for our wedding. We opted for buffet style with full service staff and bartending. Food was delicious, staff was friendly and very affordable prices! We definitely would recommend to anybody in need of catering for any event.

Hey I went to a invent and I DONT recommend this place food was cold and the hamburger tasted like old Greece I wasn't gona give no star's but it won't let me post I just posted a pic of the burger yall guys did ik it was yall that did the food and thats a burger right there

Hosted a large Christmas party and hired Melendez Catering. The food was soooo good and the table spread was BEAUTIFUL! The staff were very helpful. I will be calling them for all my events!
