We just moved back to Tuscaloosa and ordered take away. I understand we are all dealing with inflation but the prices versus what we received means we won’t be going back to McAlisters. That side salad was $8. That kids pizza was $8. Overall our food was just shy of $50. Ain’t no way.

Hadn't been here in many years, and it was great! They offer fast casual deli food made to order, and it fits the bill very well. We went last night, and my 9-year old daughter loved it! Especially the little personal cheese pizza. She also really liked the garden salad. The reuben sandwich was good, and another adult raved about the French dip sandwich. The layout inside the restaurant is really good. You can sit at a table and order with app. Or stand in efficient double line at counter when you come in. Line moved quickly. Staff was very friendly. They bring your food to the table. Our waiter was great, she even checked on us a couple times-- which I wasn't expecting in a more fast casual restaurant like this. There are a couple booths and nice little alcoves which we really liked. Then there are many tables throughout both sides of the restaurant. You could accommodate a big group here. McAlister's is back off the main road-- attractive for families with young children, as there is less traffic. I loved that they have a roll-up garage-door type opening at one end, wondering if they open it during very nice weather-- or maybe for a party so folks can be outside too? Glad to see this place is doing well. We will go back! Definitely recommend.

I worked thru lunch and so I stopped in around 5:15pm on a Friday night. Now my family and I enjoy this place on Sunday after church and it’s so packed that there’s no room to even change your mind. But tonight I was the only dine in customer for 30 minutes. Folks, this place is just a great place to eat. I’ve never had a bad meal!

Terribly disappointing. I was hoping for a great sandwich to complete my journey home. I posted a picture of the Memphian I received for $20 and it was nothing like what’s advertise or like the one I’ve gotten for years. I don’t give a 1 rating very often but this was bad enough I likely won’t return here again for a long time.

Come here sometimes just not that often, but the people are very friendly and warm welcoming. Normally I would usually get just a pb&j, chips and rotel dip, dessert and a drink. Sometimes I may get something else. Maybe I can try something else eventually when I visit there to eat. I came here when I was little at times (just not often), and I do kinda miss the old interior design though can accept the new designs.

Their service has gone down dramatically, as well as their quality. I was looking forward to a good 'Choose 2' items, but from the moment I walked in, I could tell this restaurant was struggling. The floors & tables were dirty, the cashier was also the waiter (serving food to dine-in customers), so i had to wait for a while until my order was taken. She apologized to 2 different customers for making them wait (apparently they were short-handed) The broccoli cheddar soup was luke warm but thankfully my grilled chicken club was good. The spoon they give you is too rounded & deep and you can't get any soup into your mouth unless you make loud slurping sounds to get it all out! (doesn't anybody do market testing for these things?) The Blackberry tea was horrible; tasted like water with a few drops of imitation fruit flavor, there was no real taste and I couldn't drink it(waste of money). There were no trash bins anywhere which really diminished my enthusiasm for my visit. Even my partner, who seldom agrees with my opinion, said it was "pretty lousy". Also, the atmosphere McAlister's used to have is no longer there...! PS. when you use their credit card machine, the first thing it'll ask for is a Tip! I'm pretty sure tips are for good service! Time of visit 4:30 pm

I am usually not one to give a reviews. Went to McAllisters Northport tonight. I am so disappointed in the way McAllisters has gone down hill. First off for years we have gotten the soup in a bread bowl, it was one of McAllisters most popular items, but some marketing genius took it off the menu. It was a year ago when they removed the item, however my wife still asks if they have it when we come in, with the hopes that they brought it back. She asked tonight, she was told they didn’t have it and received and eye roll from the staff. I got a half sandwich and a cup of soup and my wife got a club and chips. It was $33, the club is pitiful, it has a little lettuce and a tiny uncooked piece of bacon between 2 pieces and then meat and cheese on the other. They could at least make the sandwich worthy of the cost. There was only one other family in the restaurant in prime supper time and I can see why! I believe this was our last visit!

I ordered 2 sides of fruit cups for somewhat healthy dessert, and the fruit did not taste fresh. I returned the fruit and asked for a cookie instead, and the shift leader offered me broccoli instead of what I requested. I finished my meal. Why would I want broccoli for dessert? That didn't make sense to me.
No refund was offered as well.

They also are scooping ice with the cup. This is not sanitary because they hands are dragging in the ice, which is considered food. ?
