Mather Lodge was the perfect place to spend our 24th wedding Anniversary weekend. The views are amazing, the room was cozy and clean, the restaurant meals were really delicious and filling. The ambiance of this place was perfect.

We did not stay here, but just stopped in at the lodge on a rainy day to get out of the rain and eat our picnic lunch. The lodge is super historic – like something you would see at Yellowstone or another National Park. Definitely worth a stop. I wish we could have stayed over night.

Great location with several activities available to enjoy the outdoors! Beautiful views everywhere! We had drinks/dinner in restaurant both nights, but did not stay in the Lodge. We reserved a small cabin on the Lodge grounds. It was quaint and well decorated, it was too warm to have s fire, but wood was readily available had we wanted to have one.

I DO wish this was placed on the National Forest Service Protection Agency as the Mountain, and its perfection is what wipes away all the other state ran services. I didnt care either way, just giving you the heads up.

Be aware - this is a lodge and a bit rustic. Rooms are on the smaller side, but who wants to stay indoors in magnificent Petit Jean? Pool area is spectacular with full-size beach towels for the lounge chairs. The lodge itself has a wonderful restaurant, a gift shop and cozy common areas. The biggest draw in the VIEW!

We stayed in duplex cabin, number 24 for one night. There was nobody in the other half of the duplex, so we had the whole place to ourselves, and it was very quiet. These cabins are very nice and up-to-date, clean, and very pleasant. The only thing I would change is I would put a railing on the irregular stone stairs leading up to the front door. I know they are trying to keep everything very rustic looking, but a hand railing next to the stairs would be very helpful. We had dinner at the Lodge. The Lodge is beautiful and very pleasant. We watched the sunset. I will say that our pork chops were overcooked. But the service and the view were great! I would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. This is a very beautiful park with lots of hiking opportunities. If you stay in the summertime, there is a pool.

Loved Cabin #6. I think it might be the best one! We appreciated the great view out back. Comfortable bed, free wi fi. It is a very short walk to the historic lodge. The lodge is super with dining and a gift shop. So stay here for a fun memory filled stay

I have stayed at the Mather Lodge many times when I was little. This is the first time as an adult. I have always loved Mather Lodge. The only issues I had was the room, especially the bathroom was sooo small. The other thing, a storm came through and the lights went out for around 3 hours. Still, I love the lodge, restaurant and the views!!
