Went because we heard good things from JMU alum and it’s a good stopping distance between DC and New River Gorge. So glad we did! Friendly service, fantastic food, and a fun local vibe. Andrea served us and guided us through the menu - what range! Best bao we’ve had in awhile- choice of 3 so try the marinated tofu. Perfect asparagus and roasted duck. Cool cheesesteak. Get the fries with it because all 3 dipping sauces are worth slurping. Now I’m looking for excuses to get back to Harrisonburg, VA.

Good food. (Tried a sample at the farmer's mkt). The pork in the dumplings had great flavor. Food was filling without making you feel like you overrated. Lots of outdoor covered seating.

Great restaurant for lunch or dinner. Family friendly with the complimentary video games for kids. Food is fresh and flavorful. Sauces are really good. Have not had anything I didn’t like. Can get busy with a long wait when college is in town. They offer a food truck that is just as good. I like all the sandwiches, chicken or brisket. Burger is good. Steamed buns with any meat are all worthy. Side salad is fresh and homemade dressing is great. Not intimidating for being Korean food. I don’t like kimchi but that is not restaurant fault. Sweet and spicy sauce served table side is my favorite on everything. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great spot for Harrisonburg

Mashita is a great place to go for lunch if you're craving Korean! I've been to one too many places that make their Jjapchae too sweet or too gummy. Here, it's just right. The ramp kimchi and bibimbap was excellent, too. The kimchi has a perfect balance of hot and sour, and makes a great accompaniment to anything on the table. Highly recommend!

Lackluster. Food sucked. Service sucked.
We tried the beef bulgogi, mushroom, and tofu buns. The beef and mushroom ones were far too salty. The tofu one tasted unseasoned. The $13 "kimchi" fries with stale cheese and kimchi that tasted like sandwich pickles was genuinely the first thing I've ever been incapable of eating at a restaurant. I'm a certified big back and that meal was a punishment.
We tasted about 4-6 fries before deciding we could not consume it. It took multiple tries to flag down our server who then proceeded to roll her eyes at us when we very kindly brought it to her attention.

Ruined my day. Y'all suck.

I want to thank Spencer at Mashita for all that he did to make the catering for my daughter’s wedding run so smoothly. From the very first phone call to packing up the left-overs, and all in between, I appreciated Spencer’s professionalism, organization, and attention to detail. This eliminated any worry or stress related to feeding 130 guests! We knew the food would be delicious after our fun experience at our tasting several months before the big day! Mashita’s Wedding Catering Menu goes above and beyond their already standout regular menu to offer wedding hosts an array of amazing options. To work with a catering service whose professionalism, service, and food taste/quality are all equally superior was such a delight and played a huge part in making our event an unforgettable evening that we were proud to host!

Sublime food that could have fixed everything in my life- if just for a moment -with how good it was. The braised pork and normal chicken buns are to die for, no- really. Fantastic price point for the quality and portion size.

Very kind, beaming, and genuine folks and service in a very unassuming, clean, and spacious restaurant.

Michael was great! Definitely seek them out if you can.
