If you cook an order and burn it, please remake it. BEC biscuit was okay. Obviously paid for hash browns to be thrown away. Do better for take out please

I have not been to Mary's Bread Basket in a while. This time I ordered the ham biscuit and a side order of grits. I really liked the consistency of the biscuit and the quality of the ham. The grits were ok, and the coffee good. I need to visit for lunch, as I have been told that the chicken sandwich is excellent. Giving it a try. My score a 4.6.

Our first time here. I had the Ruben and my wife had the BLT. Both were very tasty. The price before tip was $24 for sandwiches only.

If I didn't have to watch calories, I would eat there breakfast, lunch and wish they had dinner every day, but ok, maybe twice a week. As a Big Canoe resident, we have used them for luncheons, funerals, weddings, showers , birthday, up name it and just plain when we want. Perfect combination of sandwich choices on their impeccable breads. Their cranberry walnut, with any inside choice, is to die for. Have decided to give the cranberry walnut bread for Christmas gifts this year combined with any kind of jam. Honestly, the bread is so good, nothing has to go on it. Our two favorites are chicken salad and pimento cheese toasted. If you call in order first for an order of breads, you'll find it warm waiting on you. And I can assure you will have eaten at least one piece before its destination.

My husband and I had lunch at Mary’s Bread basket on Saturday. We wanted to try a local spot near Big Canoe. I’m so glad we stopped in because this place is a gem! The tuna sandwich on cheddar jalapeño was delicious and my chipotle chicken salad was fresh and savory. We had enough to take home for a snack later and we also got a slice of coconut cake to go. The cake is a bit heavy on the frosting, but that’s an easy fix. I’d like to try the strawberry cake next time. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. The ladies who took our order and served us were both very nice and ready with suggestions. Make sure to let them know you want to add a tip before they run your card (no Amex). We didn’t know that and scrambled for some cash. We ended up getting a jalapeño cheddar loaf to go because the bread is so good!

Had an excellent Philly cheese steak on wheat sandwich. The meat and cheese were hot and steamy but the bread held up well. The potato salad had bacon into it. It was very thick, a bit fry and needed pepper and salt where there was no bacon. The sandwich was Excellent! My wife had a chicken salad sandwich on a cranberry walnut bread that she liked a lot. Soft drinks are available in cans and they have sweet and unsweetened tea. Figure about $12 per person for a very filling sandwich, chips and drink.

I will go back if in the area.

Great little shop to grab a loaf of homemade bread or a sandwich. You can't leave without ordering a cookie or cinnamon roll to go; they are so good!!
