I had the best time at the Mary Stuart House B&B. Mary, the owner, was one of the nicest and most interesting people I have ever met. The house has everything you could possibly need & is very quaint. We had a bridal shower in the barn on her property and it was perfect. I can't say enough about this place.... Every morning she would make you a delicious breakfast. I will definitely return for another visit.

Highly recommended!! We celebrated my daughter’s wedding there over the weekend..utilized the barn as well as the bed&breakfast...can’t say enough about Mary Stuart!!! She is warm welcoming kind calm and an amazing lovely person!!!! She made this special event extra special and took great care of us as well as our guests staying in the home. Her home is cozy inviting casual comfy historical charm...property is very pretty with lots of charm as well. I stayed here about a month ago and had such a fantastic time. Everyone was so kind and fun to talk to, especially Mary. The house itself is beautiful and old, lovingly kept with strong history. I love all the decorations and knickknacks, especially the old merry-go-round horses. The property and quaint surrounding town is also lovely. I saw so many wild daffodils around! Thank you Mary for being such a wonderful person and opening your home to friends and strangers alike.

Stay here if ou are in the area!!! Mary is super welcoming and friendly, and her home is charming. This is her childhood home repurposed as a B and B , and a retreat for her yearly family reunion. Interesting decor-her mother w a a collector of authentic carousel animals-there are 3 in the home. 2 horses and a dragon, and lots of pieces and gifts she has acquired over the years. We had a shared bath, but the rooms are lovely. My husband and I were on an overnight to see the grounds at White Flower Farms annual open house. Mary does everything she can to make you feel at home. We were greeted with an offer of hot coffee and cookies as soon as we were settled. So glad to pull up a kitchen stool and visit with Mary. I felt like I was having coffee with an old friend. Breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, juice, coffee, french toast or pancakes and scrambled eggs. Mary also gave a couple recommendations regarding local restaurants for dinner. If we are ever in area again, we Definitely will stay again!

A one of a kind experience in this home and property built in the late 1700s. The quiet and peacefulness of the property brings a calm and welcoming atmosphere. Mary makes you feel at home and is constantly checking on your comfortability which just adds to the uniqueness of this experience at the Mary Stuart House. Truly, this place is an amazing gem and you will not forget a stay in this small town of Goshen Connecticut.

Ps. If you are able to make it the first weekend in September you have a 5 minute drive and easy access to the Goshen State Fair.

Wonderful hospitality. Mary is a lovely, energetic owner who made us feel welcome and at home. She has lovingly updated and decorated her 1798 farmhouse! Great breakfast, but mostly Mary's lovely personality made our two night stay memorable. We stayed on the third floor which was a climb, but there are rooms on the other floors as well.

We booked into Mary Stuart House on the strength of a Rough Guide recommendation. It proved a memorable night. This is the opposite of a corporate hotel - you really are staying in someone's old and well-loved home, stuffed with interesting things and lots of atmosphere. That's not to say there isn't a highly experienced hand behind all this - we weren't lucky enough to meet Mary herself but were extremely ably looked after by her friends who couldn't have been more charming and hospitable. You might not get an en suite bathroom but you will feel like there's a real person who wants to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Thank you, ladies - we're talking about you still.
