I stopped on a Saturday. They were out of everything but chicken and turkey. I ordered the Chicken Taco special $8 and the lunch nachos no meat. Everything on it. It was VERY disappointing. The tacos were not good at ALL! Little flavor and the corn tortillas were cold and falling apart. And Nachos were half the size and absolutely not worth the $8 I paid for them! I've eaten here before and the portions were bigger and much better. Will not be back after today. So disappointed.

Mae Pop’s has the BEST BBQ around! Outstanding customer service & the food is excellent! I do suggest that you call in your orders on Saturday because they will sell out super quick! This place is just that GOOD! ?

I enjoyed the ambitious of this down home restaurant! Food was Awesome everything fresh hot and ready in a timely manner. The staff was very friendly and kind. Will return and recommend to anyone who Loves BBQ!!

The family and I decided to take a small road trip fo Tallassee after hearing about Mae Pops BBQ. We had an incredible experience. The food was fresh and they offered to let us try their different meats, each of them were spectacular. my wife got the BBQ loaded Mac and cheese and I got the brisket sandwich. The owner was also kind enough to let me see his smokers and glean some advice for my own at home smoking. This BBQ is worth the drive and the service cannot be beat!

Wow.. without a doubt one of the best BBQ we have eaten. VERY friendly family business the owner talked to us for quiet a while. We drove a few hours to try it out. It was worth the drive!

100% it’s worth stopping for some incredible BBQ and to support a very nice family buisnss.

Ribs where incredible, home made brisket sausage, the turkey was moist and flavorful, and the brisket was juicy!

Strange little place in an unusual location. Gravel parking lot. Walk-up to the window to order. Wait and they call your name. Sit outside and eat under a covered area. The brisket is the best I have found so far in Alabama, so 5 stars for food.
