The MacArthur Place was truly top notch from the minute I arrived to the minute I left. I was greeted and had the doors opened for me as I walked up to the building, the front desk was extremely helpful with check in and additional information about the property. The service was impeccable - they visited my room multiple times throughout the day to ensure everything was taken care of. Their text message customer service during my stay was great for quick answers to any questions I had and loved that I could order room service from my personal phone. The Layla restaurant had amazing amazing food (which I will definitely be dreaming about), their coffee shop had great coffee and tea! And the property was truly amazing... the photos online do not do it justice! If you stay during spring the grounds are covered in the sweetest roses which adds just the most romantic touch. ||||I cannot wait to come back here for a second time and highly recommend the MacArthur Place Hotel 🙂

I absolutely loved MacArthur! Not only is this resort beautiful (my room had an outdoor shower which was amazing) but service is SPECTACULAR. We felt taken care of and appreciated the little touches. This included, the bellman getting to know us and asking us questions about our day (remembering our conversations from earlier), the front desk staff being very helpful, and also housekeeping did a phenomenal job (my clothes that I threw on the floor looking for my wine tour outfit was picked up and neatly folded). My family and I also had dinner at Layla (the roasted chicken was delicious) then had drinks at their bar. The bar was lively with kind bartenders. Oh I also love that they provide you with refillable water bottles as they have water stations through out their property. One tip! Get yourself a nice bottle of wine and unwind at one of the many outdoor firepits for guest to use. My family and I did that and had such a great time chatting! Trust me! You will love it! I cant wait to come back!

We had an amazing stay here! I can’t say enough great things about this hotel. We were there for a work conference but would return for vacation because it was so great! The rooms were clean, comfortable and updated! The ambiance of the resort was quaint but luxurious! The food was outstanding and the cocktails were delicious! The bar had a great vibe and amazing service. Hector, one of the managers made sure our group was well taken care of and went the extra mile to deliver an exceptional level of service! A big shout out to Alex and Charlene behind the bar who stayed late to make sure our group had a great time! We will be back!

Property is so quiet, clean and beautifully kept. The room (Jasmine Cottage) was spectacular- private and spacious. Bathroom heated floor was a hit as well as large indoor/outdoor shower. Back terrace was cozy and private as well. The fireplace was another addition that made the stay even more welcoming. Food was excellent at Layla- highly recommend. Easy and beautiful walk to the town square where there are more shops (highly recommend Figone’s Olive Oil Tasting) and lots of little restaurants. What a beautiful small town!

MacArthur is the most charming and unique hotel I've ever stayed at! Customer service was excellent. The room was well appointed. We had a surprise patio with french doors from our room. The food and drink options were excellent. It made it hard to leave the hotel to go exploring (which we sure did!). It was in a great location to walk downtown or head out for the day to check out wineries.

A most exquisite property with a soaking tub, working fireplace, and spacious, luxurious shower. There was champagne and tasty snacks (Dirty Potato Chips & Dried Pineapple & a fruit bar) awaiting us in the room. The Spa facility was outrageous with a steam sauna including lavender-scented towels on ice with a delightful jacuzzi and swimming pool and full service menu of spa treatments. The breakfast at Layla was so delicious and tasty with Gluten Free Cardemom Carrot Cake muffins and an eggs benedict as good as we've ever had. They provided electric bikes for us to ride to a nearby vineyard for wine tasting. Probably the most elegant stay in our lives.

This place is magical. From the time you turn in to the hotel, to when your head hits the perfectly soft pillows, you’ll be delighted at every turn. I’ve stayed at many locations in Sonoma and MacArthur takes the cake. The coffee shop was top notch, and so unexpected. Same with Layla — love having an incredible restaurant onsite. The scallops were divine. The heated floors are next level but it was the continuous attention to detail and the level of service for me. Can’t think of a better location for couples or a girls weekend. A personalized card, champagne, yummy snacks, turn down service. The way my clothes were organized by housekeeping! They didn’t miss a detail and when you add all of that up, I can’t wait to be delighted here again!

Bed was very comfortable. The room was smaller than expected. Heated floors in the bathroom were a pleasant surprise. I think when remodeling, they could have gone with a smaller sink and larger countertop space for supplies. THE TOILET PAPER WAS THE WORST. Shocked that in a high end expensive hotel, they would put in cheap toilet paper. ||Prior to visit, we tried to contact concierge to book a wine tasting; it was difficult to reach someone for assistance and took a couple of days to arrange.||The food at Layla's for dinner was excellent although the room seems too large and too noisy. No cozy or intimate here. The space is better suited for a breakfast or lunch visit.||We liked the old MacArthur better. Seemed more quaint and open. ||Great front desk staff.
