DON’T BOOK. IT’S A SCAM.

Believe all the negative reviews. We didn’t read the reviews until after we had booked and paid on hotels.com.

Upon booking and paying, we received a confirmation email stating that check-in was 5pm - 12 am. When we arrived to the hotel at 8pm, there were two cars in the parking lot. No one was at the desk to check us in until 9pm. Additionally, no one answered our phone calls during this hour. When someone finally arrived, he rudely told us that he’d cancelled our reservation and given our room away to someone else because we had not arrived by 6pm. (Remember, there were only two cars in the parking lot, so this was a blatant lie.) When we told him that the confirmation email said check in time was 5pm -12 am, he yelled at us, saying that he could give our room away, and falsely claimed that we had not been charged.

He did not check us in, or give us a refund on our card. Thankfully, we were able to successfully, and easily, book at the nearby clean, friendly Comfort Suites.

We were able to get refund through hotels.com, but the scam artist did charge us for a room that he was unwilling to give us.

TRAVELER BEWARE
We tried to stay here 3-1, the hotel was nothing like it was presented on Hotels.com. Once we got there we decided that we were not going to stay because we felt very uneasy. We did check in and was told we had to park in the back. The owner lives in the hotel....It was dark and not a soul around so this is when we made the decision to leave. I did go back in to drop my key off and explain why we were not staying and I did say I would be filing a complaint with Hotels.com. She proceeded to yell at me and told me to get the F' out and that she was not giving me my money back. I never asked for my money but when we tried to leave a F-150 came out of nowhere and blocked us in. My husband was able to slowly back up and get by but this man did try to step in front of our car but we kept going. You can not force someone to stay and hold them against their will and remember they already had our money. So of course we called 911 and the police met us down the street. Apparently this man who tried to keep us from leaving actually owns multiple low budget hotels at this exit in Cordele, Georgia (5 total) in which they have family living in all of them. This by far was the worst experience I have ever encountered staying in a hotel. Hotels.com did credit me back for a future stay but they need to do a better job vetting these hotels it had a 8.6 rating and I wouldn't give it a 1 Star.

Zero stars!! The family lives at the hotel and their kids were behind the desk with her while she was trying to check us in with their toys in the lobby. We got to our room and the fire alarm was beeping. They sent their son in and he pulled it off the wall and set it on top of our TV and told us that hooking it up to the wall is the “back-up” Last I checked the batteries are supposed to be the back up. In the morning when I was getting out of the shower I saw a huge cockroach and screamed!! We packed up all our things and got out of there!! I tried to tell them at the front desk but there was nobody there, and nobody ever came. I left a note with my email address and they never sent me any messages. I contacted Expedia and they tried to get us our money back but the lux hotel refused the refund and said it is non-refundable and they don’t allow any exceptions. This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at! Stay far far far away! Not only is it disgusting, they have terrible customer service!

Lipstick on a pig. Shiny, flashy exterior and over-the-top kitschy decor in lobby and corridors. Room was a mess. No smoke detector. Sprinkler painted over. Dirty washcloth hanging on shower curtain, which was insufficient to keep bathroom floor from flooding. Tub clogged so I was standing in the filth backing up from the drain while taking a shower. Many of the fixture, judging by their condition, appeared to be second hand. Requested a king but they only had two queens, despite virtually no other guests in the hotel. Was charged several dollars more than Hotels.com said I would be charged.||There were, inexplicably, four bottles of conditioner in the room but no soap. The “towel” was the size of a dish rag. Cigarette burns on tub. Janky light switch in the bathroom. Paint was sloppy, and they apparently thought there was no need to paint behind the toilet…?||Don’t believe the reviews. My pictures speak for themselves. This place is unsafe and unfit.

Prior reviews indicated “exceptional” but they forgot to put terrible at the end! The ONLY thing good was somewhat clean carpet. They claim breakfast is included, but it’s not. Was told it is due to remodeling. The first floor hallway smelled like a college dorm with the innate stench of skunk weed. Plus, screeching kids in the hallway. The beds were as hard as they get. Train tracks less than a quarter mile away and sounds like it’s coming through the wall. TV channels are mediocre at best and blurry. No 24hr desk service…so don’t plan on arriving after midnight. They charged $6.50 for some stupid fee but since it was after 10:00pm and driving 7hrs…I was just wanting to crash out. I will never stay here again.

The remodeling has made it so much more elegant than before. Owner and wife are very kind people makes for a much more pleasant stay. Beds are HUGE and comfy! Tv makes you feel like you're in a home theater. Gives a homely type vibe when you're here. Can't wait for their lounge to open with the hotel this nice I can only imagine how classy their bar will be! Such a nice addition to Cordele. 10 out of 5 stars for these guys!!!

Do NOT stop here! I believe we were the only guests in the building. It took forever to get someone to come to the front desk to check in. The room was not what I would have liked to stay in. We went out for dinner, and when we got back, the front door was locked, and we couldn't get anyone to come to the door to let us in. Luckily enough, we were able to enter through the back of the building. And there is nothing offered for breakfast. Travelers beware.

Clean room. Staff not readily available no phone in room to contact staff. Our room light over sink one side not working, no bath soap. No instructions on how to use the coffeemaker. Nice TV. Overall a good place to rest overnight.
