We found Le Fox Catering on wedding wire and they had great reviews. We met with John for a tasting and the food was amazing. He was very reasonable priced and open to making substitutions. We thought we had hit the jackpot. We booked him over a year in advance and he was very easy to get a hold of for the first few months. Once he got our deposit we didn’t speak until a few months before the wedding. He became difficult to reach. I had to reach out multiple times to coordinate a vegan alternative and ask questions. He claimed he never got any of my emails, Using the same email address we used when we were first booking. Every time we spoke my concerns were quickly resolved and I felt good going into the wedding. He even let us change the number of guests and use our left over deposit towards the tip for servers.

Once at the wedding it was his associate who was there. Not John. Our cocktail hour food was great. No complaints and the display was beautiful. The vegan meal discussed was not what was served. Instead it was a middle eastern dish, hummus and some grape leaf things. The vegans liked it but I’m still disappointed that the change wasn’t discussed. As for the filet and chicken... the filet was more like a brisket and my piece was almost all fat. I took two bites and gave up. The chicken was bland. The veggies and potatoes were steamed and had absolutely no flavor or seasoning. The rolls were stale and old. I was told when my guests asked for salt and pepper, they were told we “didn’t order that”. So they didn’t bring any salt and pepper shakers. The caterer had to go into the restaurant of our venue and got 1 shaker and was walking it around to the tables. How embarrassing!!! The food was absolutely not what we tasted at the tasting and I was mortified that I served my guests such terrible food. They did leave us all the leftovers as discussed. All in all you get what you pay for. We thought we found a genuine guy who wasn’t trying to up charge some chicken but really we should’ve just paid out the butt for good food. I would not recommend Le Fox catering and wish I would’ve found someone else.

Good but not great. We chose LeFox Catering for our wedding a few months ago. They were ok but at the end of the day overall we were disappointed which prompted me to write this review. Our first meeting was with Ray (a partner of John), they operate out of the kitchen in a mexican restaurant in a sketchy part of town, we didn't let that deter us because there prices were amazing. The food at the tasting was also amazing, we booked the number one seller package option and the Bacon Wrapped Filet served to us at the tasting was restaurant quality steak and a very thick cut of filet mignon. It seemed too good to be true (which you know what they say) so I asked before we booked (twice) that the food we were presented at the tasting would be exactly the food our guests would receive at the wedding. I was told yes by Ray not once but twice, and to be clear I specifically asked about the size and quality of the filet, making sure it would be the same. Our final deposit was due 30 days prior as per the contract. The owner John called me 6 weeks before to get me to pay, calling me several hours a day at off times, calling multiple times in a row, almost seeming desperate for the money. This raised a red flag for me wondering do they rob peter to pay paul? (i.e. am I being asked to pay early so they can cover someones wedding this weekend? If so, I needed to rely on another bride to pay when it came to mine) I reminded John the contract was 30 days and he told me it was important I pay it now (there is a very cheesy used car salesman vibe to John) After going back online to read reviews just to make sure no other bride got scammed as I had not read the reviews in a while, I didn't see anything negative so I agreed to pay now even though it was 2 weeks before it was due. Some things that were positive included John letting me drop the number of my guests after my RSVP's came in (I was afraid I would never see the refund as it never appeared after I was promised for a month) so I negotiated a couple additional items with Ray at the last minute in lieu of a refund (as I suspected I wouldn't receive one from past reviews). They did accommodate the extra items which was helpful. The biggest disappointment came from the day of the event. The filet served to myself and my guests were very thin slices and not even close to what we tasted and what was promised, In addition it shreadded apart and did not have the texture of steak, brisket like almost. The chicken was VERY dry, even the plates that were served to my husband and myself which should have been the freshest, I knew if that is what we got, everyone's chicken was dry. The potatoes and vegetables were good, the rolls were not catering quality, they were kings hawiann. The worst and final thing was I had a guest who was arriving late, I approached Ray as he was about to break down the buffet and asked him to save a plate for this guest (a guest I had paid for) and he seemed bothered and frustrated by me even asking. He said he would put one aside. When the guest arrived my planner went into the kitchen to get his food and not only was there no plate saved, not in the warmer or the fridge or anywhere to be found, LeFox was packed up and gone. Overall, the food was disappointing, the quality you will see at the tasting is not what you will get. You really do get what you pay for so if you are looking to save money this company will do that for you but if you want high quality food and a high quality staff, go elsewhere. I personally would not recommend them or book them for any future events.

Le Fox catered our wedding a couple of weeks ago and it was absolutely wonderful. The food was very good, more than enough for each guest plus we had plenty leftover. The best part was when we were served and there was a special flower 🌸 on each plate. It was set up so beautiful and couldn’t be happier! My husband and I as well as many of our guests couldn’t stop talking about the meatballs too - we highly recommend adding that as an app! We are very happy with everything and so glad we choose le Fox, we already have our friends asking for their their info for their own events. Thanks guys, great job!

Le Fox Catering catered my food for our wedding on 1/19/19. I cannot express how incredible, fresh, and delicious our food was!!! Our guests were obsessed with our appetizers as well as our bbq buffet! The servers and chef worked extremely efficiently and you could tell that their passion was to make everyone happy and satisfied 100%. Im so thankful for randomly finding this catering company! From the tasting, to working with the owner, everything went so effortlessly! Thank you guys again for making my day so special!

I would not use LE FOX CATERING! TYPICAL BATE AND SWITCH! I am so disappointed! We Hired them for my daughters wedding and not only was the food NOT What was presented at the tasting but the entire thing was a sh...t show! The So called Prime Rib was horrible! Not Prime Rib! More like a roast or something! The carrots were hard the chicken was gross and cold. The Appetizers were a joke. Lack of presentation! John had a staff of 4 kids working for him that did not do a good job at all! ( we tipped them anyway) we feel john should have stepped up to guide them but he did no such thing. The kids were under age and serving alcohol! Not to mention, they were dressed in hooded sweatshirts that they never took off their heads. We had to ask them to get more silverware for the tables during dinner. We continually asked for them to please clear the dirty dishes and when they finally did, it was during the toast and literally at the Bride and Grooms table!Unbelievable! When the champagne was served for the toast they didn't even serve the bridal party one single glass! John raved about his hot chocolate bar and nacho bar. We ordered both. The hot chocolate bar consisted of a can of whip cream and a container of hot chocolate and to be honest I don't know how many people got hot chocolate because we were told they ran out. Again poor presentation! The Nacho bar was suppose to be set up as a surprise for the groom. When it came time, the kids put out a bowl of chips salsa and cheese and people started eating that right out of those bowls no plates! It was probably 15 minutes later they brought the other ingredients out and just put them on the table and also brought the can of cheese out to try and refill. AGAIN lack of presentation. When people realized there was a so called (nacho bar) there wasn't any cheese left to go on their nachos. So embarrassing! We ordered gold chargers and they brought silver! We had to make due and my daughter was not happy about that at all. John did give us 70 bucks and said I owe you 40 for the charger mistake. If the chargers were the only problem well that wouldn't be that big of a deal. People make mistakes, but it was just one thing after another. The kitchen was such a disaster we could not believe our eyes there was food slopped from one end to the other! John reached out to my daughter and acknowledged the (Nacho bar) disaster. He offered to bring a nacho bar to her new husbands work......well he works out of state. No office to go to. Ok one point for offering John! ....$$$$ talks and BS walks! My daughter sent John a text letting him know how she felt and never got a response. Oh! There are so many things that went wrong I forgot to say we ordered and paid for iced tea and lemonade......they did not have either one. Thank Goodness we baught a ton of drinks ourselves. I hate doing a review like this but I feel we were cheated! We paid a lot of money and did not get at all what we were promised. I am so embarrassed and disappointed and I do expect a partial refund. With Bate and Switch I should get a full refund, but I am decent enough to except a partial refund. Lets see if that happens.

Unfortunately, Chris works out of state so that wouldn't be possible. And honestly we were really disappointed with a lot of things. We had no tea and lemonade that was supposed to be a part of the meal. My cousin asked for hot chocolate for her son and was told it was gone, yet my mom was told there was plenty for the entire night. My wedding party table didn't get any champagne for the toast yet yesterday we found 8 bottles left over. Not only did we have silver chargers, 1 whole table didn't even have them and we had less people than we paid for. Silverware and glasses were dirty. Chicken was cold, carrots were not cooked. Horseradish came out after meal was started and it had to be asked for. Dishes were not cleared until it was asked 5 times.
The 14 YEAR old who was serving alcohol cut the limes on the venues tablecloth and sliced it all up which we now have to pay for. The kitchen was FILTHY. My maid of honor spent over an hour yesterday morning cleaning up what I thought would be taken care of by your staff considering it was their mess. Also, when asked to place cookies on each table, there were supposed to be 24 extra cookies. We had 2 left. When we arrived at the venue yesterday morning, there were half eaten cookies and a bottle of champagne behind the venue where your staff was. Ghe staff was not professionally dressed, one kid kept his "moist" hoodie on his head the entire night. Chris and I as well as my parents feel the food served including portion size was not what we were shown at the tasting. We put a deposit down 17 months ahead of time to ensure we had a great meal for our guests and that was not what was delivered. We paid over $4000 and were highly disappointed.

I have tried contacting John several times since December of 2018, to inform him that my wedding in April of 2019 was canceled. I have called several times to the point I have lost count of how many times I have tried to call him and left several voicemails as well. I have also emailed him 5-6 times and I have not received a response to this day. In the contract it specifically states "If cancellation of event is within 30 days or more refund of deposit is fully refunded."

Of course, the beginning of the process John was super nice and said if we needed anything to contact him. Now, that our event is canceled, he will not respond and I am assuming unwilling to follow Le'Fox's contract and refund our deposit. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB.
