We seek out B&Bs as our preferred lodging when possible. For many years we have talked about staying at The Lavender Inn in Ojai so we eagerly anticipated our Anniversary Weekend. We're pleased to say the experience was better than the anticipation. The Lavender Inn exceeded our expectations in almost every way.||The grounds are breathtaking and relaxing. The common rooms are spacious, well appointed and comfortable. Our room, while a bit on the smaller side (what do you expect from a 150-year old Victorian) didn't take anything away from the ambience. We enjoyed our comfortable queen size bed, had ample amenities such as good bath products, WiFi, plush robes, ample pillows and, best of all, a balcony that was a great extension to our room and offered many hours of good reading time. Staff is kind, accommodating and helpful. The cats, Mister and Oreo, are mainstays who add to the experience. ||The breakfast of toast & jam and a homemade muffin was a bit of a disappointment, but not enough to deter us from having a memorable experience. We would prefer a more sparse breakfast to raising the prices. Speaking of prices, The Lavender Inn is fairly priced for its comfort, ambience and location. It is located so central to everything we never used our car and next time we're bringing our bikes to further expand our horizon.||Our only regret is it took us so many years to finally stay at The Lavender Inn. We will be back soon!

My husband and I first discovered the Lavender Inn about 2 years ago. We found the Inn to be so charming and cute that we decided to bring all of our close friends and family to Ojai when it was our time to get married!

We rented out the Inn and did a private ceremony in the back porch by the frog pond with our closest friends and family. It was good vibes and beautiful. The Cottage is super spacious and a great place to get ready for weddings/events. There’s a private yard as well so we could bring our dog along for the weekend. Everyone at the Inn is also very helpful and sweet, super accommodating. If you like vintage B&Bs with that homey and cozy feeling, this is your place. If you’re looking for contemporary and modern, this might not be for you.

The location is great and central to downtown Ojai as well. We highly recommend doing the 10-min walk to grab dinner at the Dutchess when you’re staying at the Inn. It’s nice to not have to drive anywhere.

One thing to note is to make sure to ask for an after hour number in case you need anything. The one provided in our room didn’t work.

The Lavender Inn has completely spoiled me! I've never had such excellent treatment while stayiung at a BnB-or any hotel (and I'm an avid traveler). Every nook and cranny of the Inn is filled with warmth and beauty. The staff treat you like you're so special. They make sure your every need is taken care of. The gardens are peaceful and tranquil, despite the proximity to the busy downtown. My friends and I enjoyed sitting by the fire, sipping wine at happy hour, and eating breakfast in the gardens. We will be back!!

Lavender Inn is a charming Bed & Breakfast in Ojai, CA, located in a lovely old house in the town. The rooms, many of which have balconies, are individually decorated. There is a cozy living room with fireplace, and, overlooking the garden, a great back porch (also with fireplace) where guests enjoy the Continental breakfast with excellent fresh-baked pastries (included with the room, as is the wine hour). There are spa features, such as the Outdoor Garden Massage Gazebo, but the best feature is the wonderful staff, who go out of their way to make sure that your stay is enjoyable.

I cannot say enough good things about the Lavender Inn. My husband and I have been to Ojai over a dozen times now and it is hands down our favorite place to stay. ||The location is unmatched, Ojai is a very walkable town but the location of the Inn is SMACK dab in the middle of where you want to be. One block off the main strip of shops and restaurants. ||The grounds are STUNNING. With an idyllic porch swing, water feature with frogs, a lush green grass and covered back porch. For all my gilmore girls fans out there it is like the Dragonfly inn 🙂 ||What I would say is unbeatable about the inn is the price, is it definitely the best deal in town. The cleaning staff does an impeccable job and the fresh baked goods in the morning are to die for. ||We LOVE LOVE LOVE this magical place <3

Lovely spot in the center of Ojai. They have the cutest, loveliest cats named Mister and Oreo. They are so snuggly and lovely. We have stayed in the garden view room and the pink moment room. Both are lovely and luxurious. You can feel the history in the place and the grounds are beautiful and relaxing. My husband and I come here once a year at the very least and love it. Close to literally everything in town. You can walk everywhere. Staff is lovely and kind. Always accommodating. Breakfast is delicious and the free wine in the afternoon/evening is a plus. Highly highly recommend staying here. There is a standard dachshund here as well named Buddy who is the sweetest. The pets make the property feel even more like home and are one of the reasons we keep coming. There is also a great spa on site that we have used repeatedly. Highly recommend!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Lavender Inn! My husband and I came to celebrate our baby moon, and from the moment we arrived we were welcomed with such warmth, joy and true Ojai Hospitality. The room was beautiful and the bed so comfortable - and I loved the little balconies with views of Ojai. As a local of Ojai, it was such a special experience to get to be a "tourist in my own town" - and the Lavender Inn did not dissappoint! We loved lounging in all the cute little areas on the property - from reading in the luscious gardens, to playing chess in the living room, to cozying up in the morning with coffee on the patio next to an outdoor fireplace. It was absolutely perfect! Will definitely come back again. I highly recommend it!

Amazing room and balcony along with wonderful grounds and location. We were able to walk everywhere in town, enjoyed the outside patios and the water fountains provided a nice soothing sound. Very nice continental breakfast each morning and wine in the afternoon were a great touch.
