My husband and I visited for our anniversary weekend in December and it was great. There was so much care & attention paid to the room and amenities and loved the Christmas decor & music playing throughout. The front desk was also super helpful. Even though it was a short visit it was such a relaxing few days before heading in the holiday rush. Also definitely recommend dinner at the restaurant onsite, the short ribs were amazing! Thank you everyone! It was magical!

My wife and I had an amazing experience at Landoll's Mohican Castle! When we began looking for a venue for our wedding, we were quickly blown away by the charm of the castle and grounds. When we came to visit and talk with staff about potentially having our wedding there, it felt like the perfect fit for our ceremony and reception. Our wedding planner, Chelsea, did a fantastic job of communicating with us leading up to the event, helping to set up our tasting (the food was phenomenal) and answering all of our questions along the way. We did our rehearsal dinner on site the night before, and were able to get the reception hall decorated then as well, which was a huge plus. On our wedding day, Chelsea was a huge help in communicating with our other vendors and making sure they had everything they needed to do their part. The rest of the staff was also very wonderful and helped make our day perfect and unforgettable.

We chose to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary at landolls. While the castle and grounds are straight out of a fairytale, the service, accommodations and general management are lacking. Check-in was pretty straightforward: front desk open til 8, quiet time 10, call this number for noisy guests (we’ll get back to this), here’s your room on the map. No “thank you for choosing us to celebrate your anniversary or hope u enjoy your stay”. I bid the staff a good night and headed to our suite. We chose the Hess suite because it was ground lvl and we were traveling with a 1 year old. The room looked fine other than being a bit dusty. We paid to have a private dinner in greenhouse at 8pm. Upon arrival, we were informed that the kitchen “technically” closed at 8 so we were rushed to place our entire order. The food was bland and we had just started eating our entrees when the server brought us our bill and told us they would leave the door unlocked to let ourselves out! Not to mention, the bill includes a 20% gratuity (which we were not informed of) for a party of 3. The service was definitely not deserving of a 20% tip and a waste to rent a space we barely got to enjoy. *I should also note that the path to the restaurant is not well lit and has a rather steep hill which was tricky to navigate in heels especially in the rain. We went back to our room and retired to bed. That’s when the real nightmare began. The people above us were on a bender partying til 5 in the morning!! I made multiple calls to the after hours number and was told he would call, and knock on the door. I heard no call or knock on the door. The noise never subsided and we could hear EVERYTHING. Their bathroom is conveniently located just above our suites bed. So we could literally hear every pee and bm. Every step, bottle popped, tv, talking, every time they were intimate, everytime they dropped something. My poor baby kept getting woken up and I got 0 sleep. If our drive wasn’t 3 hours, we would have left in the middle of the night. My husband informed the front desk of our experience and asked for compensation. He was told they could only give a 20% discount on the room and our complaints would be given to a manager for further review. The next day, I received a survey about our stay. It was very detailed and actually made me realize our stay was worse than I thought. It’s been 2 weeks and still no response from management.

I loved being here and this was a stay with just my dad and I for spring break. I loved the woodsey vibe. I loved our room but the reason why I didn’t give a five star is because the bed was very uncomfortable and very stiff. I loved there restaurant the copper mug it was good and easy to get too. The views from the red oak observation tower was just the best. I would so come back here and maybe get a different room. I had the red baron room it had everything also the tub jets were very relaxing. Overall would recommend this place

For context, I am reviewing as a guest of the wedding and not someone who actually stayed in a room overnight. I was a bridesmaid at my friends' wedding. My plus one and I traveled an hour and half from Columbus to get there. The grounds are a little overwhelming at first, but we were quickly able to find the signs to the lobby and get help from Chelsea, the event coordinator, and another one of the front desk employees. (Sorry, I didn't get their name.) Chelsea instantly recognized that we were there for the wedding and was amazing throughout the whole event. We were obviously quite cold when taking photos on the grounds, so they made hot cocoa to help us warm up when we came inside the lobby for a break. That was awesome. She even helped the brides get their veils on when they weren't quite working right, since she had experience helping brides with it before.

Speaking of which, I was a little hesitant seeing as we were deep into, well, let's just say "conservative rural Ohio". Most of the guests were gay, lesbian, transgender, etc. However, as you might guess from earlier in my review, there were no worries here. Chelsea and the rest of the staff didn't treat us any differently. Their photographer made an honest mistake in referring to the couple as the "bride and groom" once, but corrected herself immediately. We don't hold it against her. Most couples are straight, statistically speaking!

Chelsea was accommodating when two of the guests couldn't show up and took their dinner charges off the bill without prompting. When the snow picked up and was heavier than predicted, she even offered a complimentary room (there was a vacant one left) so some of us wouldn't have to drive home in it and could be safe and warm. Again, awesome service here.

The dinner service was excellent, the steak and chicken delicious. The servers were prompt and friendly about leaving off walnuts on the salad since one of the guests had an allergy. The rooms were beautiful, straight out of a fairy tale with the fireplace and decor. And of course the buildings look amazing.

Definitely will consider Landoll's for my future event planning!

Overall the Castle is simply magical. The suites need some maintenance and the furnishings are the worse for wear in some rooms. The Copper Mug restaurant is outstanding, in food and service! There were 6 of us and we were all very happy with our choices. The restaurant staff were especially delightful! The grounds are lovely and will give quite a good workout. I didn't want to leave.

This cabin is exceptional. My husband and I are paranormal investigators and have heard many stories of Macbeth cabin so of course we were excited to book. outside of the paranormal, this is just a beautiful stone cabin that has been beautifully renovated. There is a very nice private deck with a hot tub and a grill And the cabinet itself is quite comfortable. Spa robes and a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom are a nice touch. It is beautifully decorated and has a really cool dark cottage vibe. Now on to the good stuff. If you are into the paranormal or want a cool experience book this cabin. We weren’t even finished setting up and we absolutely saw an apparition and then had an incredible investigation overnight with REM pod and K2 activity like we have never seen before. If you were in the paranormal community, this is an absolute bucket list trip. The castle grounds are absolutely beautiful and the on-site restaurant, the Copper Mug is amazing for both dinner and breakfast. We cannot recommend this enough and we cannot wait to go back!

An absolutely beautiful and magical experience. We stayed in the Macbeth cottage and it was a perfect mix of modern luxury with vintage decor. The Christmas lights throughout the grounds were a nice touch. The staff and service were exceptional. It was quaint and quiet; making for a relaxing stay. Do note that the location is off the beaten path. Getting there in snow or at night may be difficult. There are also limited gas stations or convenience stores near the castle. So plan appropriately (if possible!).
