Would leave zero stars if I could. Tried to stay here during an ice storm, made my booking through expedia. When I got to the hotel, they attempted to use 2 of my credit cards, which I had used previously during the day with no issue, their card reader was not working. I left and stayed at the best Western down the street. They would not refund me for the room despite it being a technical error on their end. Would highly recommend staying away from this place at all costs.

We stayed for 7 days and they didn't change our sheets even 1 time. It also wasn't posted anywhere or told to us that service had to be requested. We found 3 cockroaches during the week there as well. The beds and pillows are very hard and not comfortable at all. The owners will only give one rag per room, despite giving 2 towels. It was Thanksgiving week and we had no where else to stay, but they made it clear, there were zero refunds even if we wanted to leave. I do not recommend this property. It is not nice, clean, or comfortable.

People was nice location east to get to, but the room was not so good. The chair broke with the weight of a baby on it. Making him spill his water on the bed. The wife went to use a towel to get as much water off of the cover and it came back brown on the towel. So glad we brought our own covers. I cannot recommend this place.

The owner isn't the friendliest. I paid $380 for 3 days. Myself and two small dogs. I was homeless and was trying to get a week in the room. A week was $430 because of a refundable $30 deposit. He wouldn't let me have the room with what I had and pay him a few days later the rest. I sat out crying in the parking lot and his whole family just stared at me. I really had no other option. Needless to say I got my deposit back, and everything was fine, but they advertise pet friendly and treat you like the worst person when you say I have a pet. Doesn't make sense? The rooms aren't even that great. I had burn holes in the bedding, the flooring was chipped and cracked. It was not worth the $54 a night and they were going to charge me $65!!! I had to go online to book it and then they wouldn't honor their $10 per dog per night rate like it says online, they charged me $15 per dog per night. Out of $90 I paid for my dogs to be there. I got $30 back.

Pleasant, quiet, motel near town. Had my two dogs with me and I owe much gratitude to the the owners daughter for helping me find and get them back. Wasn't sure if I'd see them again. I felt very safe and comfortable there. Will definitely stay again. Thanks again to both of you.

All the reviews I read were true. The name might lead one to think it is right on the lake but it's not. It is however, a short drive away(7minutes or so). I killed 1 cockroach. To my belief, there were no bedbugs. The door looked like it had been previously kicked in and repaired. There was such a huge gap in the door, the setting sun shined through it. Bugs came in at night, attracted to the room's lights. Luckily, I took a can of bug spray and that kept them at bay. The room was a "non-smoking" room but there were cigarette burns all over. On the tub, refrigerator, countertop, and burn holes in the, very old, comforter. The toilet seat was loose and broken. The bed was very old and whenever my wife moved around, I felt like I was on a waterbed, being wobbled around. The two chairs in the room looked like garage sale pick ups. Graffiti on the door stop behind the bathroom door. The A/C DID work. We did observe someone possibly smoking crack in their vehicle in the middle of the night. We DID observe what could be considered a couple of shady characters walking down the area in front of the room doors, then loiter at the north end of building. Take what I've stated as truth and know, I hate leaving such a negative review.
