Had the pleasure of staying at this local B&B over the weekend. It is a pleasant late 1800s Victorian home situated across from the man-made Lake Allatoona. We stayed in the quaint Colonel's Quarters which had a cute bathtub and ran about $200 on the night it was reserved (Saturday). The room is average in size. The tub area is rather small and shares the tiny space with a toilet. There is really little room to do much in there. Were someone a large person, they may have trouble using this space. The sink is outside and across from the bed - should you wish for use it at night, it can be intrusive. The flat sceen TV is placed in front of a mirrored drawer; allowing for no access to the mirror (say you want to look at your image in the morning). The floorboards creak and the bed in the room is rather noisy. It is a Queen sized bed atop metal framing. You can imagine if you wanted a session of intimacy, it would be noticeable as the springboards make noise. You can also hear the people outside of your room when they are exiting or entering their rooms. There are about 4 other rooms all on the same floor, some of the beds are four poster. You can hear the rooster early in the morning (about 5 a.m.). The continental breakfast consists of eggs, pancakes, bacon, coffee, orange juice. The host, Lynn, who also lives on the third floor, was pleasant and informative about the history of the home and the location. I will probably be back to experience the other rooms. ||||There is ample parking to the left of the bed and breakfast.

This was our second time to stay in the Cartersville area. The first time we stayed at a nice hotel but this time we decided to do something different. The Lake Allatoona Inn was our surprising excellent choice. We have always appreciated older homes and this one was a nicely kept period home with great period furniture. The owners were friendly and all about making our stay a good one. This was a normal bed and breakfast inn with a good varied continental breakfast Monday-Friday and a full breakfast on the weekend. It was great to relax on the porch with the sounds of nature around you. I would definitely stay again. The cost is comparable to an average hotel in that area.

We loved our stay at Lake Allatoona Inn! Lynn is just so sweet and her breakfast is amazing! Love the history of this home and all of the nearby trails walking distance from the Inn. If you love B&B’s, this one is wonderful! Was the perfect stop on our trip!

Lynn was a wonderful host. She is very kind and accommodating. We stayed in in the Captain's Room, which features a king bed and claw foot tub. Each room has access to Direct TV. The bed in our room was a soft bed- for us that was perfect, but I do know some people prefer harder beds so I wanted to make that apparent. Breakfast was served promptly at 0900 ( it was a Sunday morning). For Covid restrictions, Lynn served our plates for us and we were seated more than 6 feet away from other guests. For those of you who are looking for something different this is the place to be. It is relaxing, quiet and quaint. It is not cheaper than a hotel, so do not be expecting that. The breakfast was good. The french toast casserole was delicious. Some critiques would be: the house is kept really warm. I like to sleep in a cold environment ( and I'm pregnant) and it was too warm for me. I think the house is kept around 74. There were fans in my room so it helped with the heat, but I think each room should have their own AC. The food was good, but I do think it was lacking in salt and pepper. She does provide salt and pepper packets though. Overall, I would recommend people to stay here. It has that homey feel that hotels lack and it provides the breakfast that Airbnb rentals lack.

My Husband and I stayed here a couple of months ago and it was a wonderful experience. We stay at many B&Bs across the South, but Lynn and her Husband do B&B right! They made us feel so at home, the home is stunning. We are bringing our entire family down in November to celebrate Thanksgiving. I can’t say enough about the hospitality and the beauty of this wonderful respite!

My wife and I really loved this bed and breakfast. It’s so cool, a ton of history, and located right across from the battlefield (which is now a huge lake). Such a beautiful and cozy property. There are hiking trails right across the street and so many more just a short distance away. There are lots of beautiful lakes, creeks, streams, etc. Just a really nice area. We were in town for a savage race and the proximity was really nice. Lynn and Dave were very nice, accommodating, and helpful in guiding us to restaurants and outdoor activities. The downtown area was very nice with a variety of great restaurants (maybe 15 minutes or so away). We will definitely return when our adventures lead us back. Thanks again.

My husband and I stayed at the Lake Allatoona Inn on our way to Florida. I am so happy I found this delightful gem while doing an internet search. We were warmly welcomed by Lynn who showed us to our lovely room. We stayed in the charming Captain's Room with an extremely comfortable king bed. As we were the only guests that night, we felt really special. We placed some our "travel" food in the fridge downstairs and explored the quaint rooms downstairs and garden.||The area is so full of history that I wished we'd been able to stay longer. Lynn directed us across the road to the state park where we discovered a beautiful view of the lake, a lovely trail walk and plenty of historical information. Allatoona is the site of the Battle of Allatoona - one of the bloodiest in American civil war history. ||On the morning of our departure, Lynn prepared us a delicious breakfast to send us on our way. I wouldn't hesitate recommending the Lake Allatoona Inn to any of my friends and would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I spent a long weekend (3 nights) at the Lake Allatoona Inn and cannot wait to return. Our room was clean and had a HUGE bed and an amazing heated jetted tub! Lynn was the perfect host and the breakfasts were served on time and were delicious! We stayed over valentines day and were surprised with a box of chocolates when we came back to the room. It was a wonderful weekend!
