Hotel looked new, mostly clean room. There was some kitty litter scattered on the bathroom floor, and some unidentified white powder piled in one corner of the closet. I stayed here with my two cats, so I’m not one to complain about the stray litter, especially when the bed and everything else was clean. Note that the room doors SLAM, so maybe bring earplugs.

Breakfast was really good!

Main thing I didn’t like: the cleaning crew let themselves into my room without knocking at about 8:30am. I understand that most guests were probably checked out by then, but we were preparing to leave at 10am, and checkout is at 11am. At 8:30am, breakfast service isn’t even finished yet, and they’re already trying to get into my room? Luckily my husband’s suitcase was right by the door, so the employee saw it within seconds and just closed the door again. Still weird. Shame on me for not engaging all the internal locks while we were getting ready to leave.

Beautiful new place! The nicest stay we had coming across country from Michigan. They welcomed our little dog. This accommodation is clean and very well kept, the beds were very comfortable. We would stay there again for sure The service people were attentive and friendly.

We stayed at the La Quinta and it was an average room - not overly good but not bad. However, several days after our stay a charge showed up on our credit card for damages. We called the hotel several times leaving voice messages but received no call back. Finally the manager answered the phone and told us she need 15 minutes to deal with our issue and would call us back. She did not call back. Our trip took us back thru Holbrook so we stopped at the hotel and met the manager in person. She showed us a photo of a stained washcloth with our room number and date of stay photoshopped on it. We expressed that we most definitely did not stain the washcloth. She told us to file a claim with our credit card company but we would lose because she had a picture to show them. If you chose to stay there be aware that you might have the same experience. The terrible rating reflects the above issue and not the quality of the room.

After driving thru downtown Holbrook it was clear that this hotel was the newest and cleanest. In fact, it looks like it was built less than 1 year ago on the far East end of town. ||When we arrived on a Friday night on December 27th it was completely booked, so it's clear this is the hotel to stay in Holbrook.||We stayed for one night and had a very comfortable stay. We didn't hear any road, train, or highway noise, but guests were slamming their doors all night. The hotel location appeared to be in a safe part of town.||The free wifi was a bit slow, at 10 Mbps down, 2 Mbps up, however, it never went down in the evening and morning hours. There is free breakfast which is the usual hotel fare of eggs cereal, yogurt, bagels, mini waffles, etc. I tried the eggs and potatoes and they didn't taste very good, so I opted for the raisin bran cereal instead.||So in summary, this is probably the best hotel in Holbrook, so if you're staying in town to visit the Petrified Forest National Park, this is your place to stay.

Very clean hotel and great location. Lovely rooms, comfortable beds, nice breakfast options, staff always pleasant and helpful. We've stayed here about 5-6 times and have never been disappointed. This trip, the mini-frig was unplugged when we got to the room and there was a missing light bulb on the bedside lamp. Otherwise, no issues.

Top notch property. Great clean rooms, pleasant staff & dog friendly. Eggs, sausage, potatoes & waffles made for a great Breakfast too. Location is perfect so there’s no road noise. When the wind blows hard sitting high, the property can offer a tough dog walk to the pet area. One negative, Called and left a message and they promised to call back but they didn’t. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Great experience! Clean,newer hotel. All staff were very friendly and always making sure we didn't need anything. Rooms were nice, very clean. Breakfast was very good for a Continental style breakfast. We ate 3 days- was always clean, well stocked, and the server was always available to meet any needs. There was scrambled, hard fried, and hard boiled eggs, home fry potatoes, sausage/bacon. Always warm and welll stocked. I always LOVE the waffle machine. Plenty of coffee, tea, milk, juice. Bagels, bread, baby muffins. We really word our stay and felt very comfortable in our room... never any noise either. I'll be back!

Stopped for 1 night. This appears to be the newest hotel in Holbrook and is a higher end hotel for the Wyndham chain. Hotel was sold out when we arrived so suggest making reservations in advance if staying here.
Our experience was not great. The room was clean, hot water came quickly and bed/sheets were good. Sadly, the hotel was noisy-for a newer hotel, it should have had much more noise damping. Guests can be and are noisy so to not anticipate that is a serious issue. We also heard the elevator chimes throughout the night. They should be lowered significantly. There were also dogs barking late into the night and early in the morningwhich is sad, but not the hotel's fault. The pet fee is $25 which is reasonable. Traveling with pets is commonplace these days, so barking dogs is a reflection of poor training by the owner. In the morning, I woke with back pain from the bed, so the mattress initially seemed comfortable but could be better. Breakfast was ok. Nothing special-neither good nor bad. Breakfast starts at 6, which is a definite positive.
There are several options for hotels in Holbrook, but none at the higher end that La Quinta is supposed to represent. For us, next time we will plan our trip to continue on and skip Holbrook altogether.
