Ray and Kim are great hosts. Ray was responsive and answered all of my questions, and gave me some great recommendations! Kim was so kind and accommodating.||My room was super-cute and I loved being able to have breakfast in their garden.||The location of La Dauphine is great: it's walking distance to the French Quarter, but the immediate neighborhood is residential and quiet. It's also super-close to Frenchmen Street where there is live music every night!

We were looking for a Bed and Breakfast near a wedding venue and thought LaDauphine looked like a fun place to stay! It turned out to be a wonderful experience, Ray and Kim were exceptional hosts and it is obvious that Ray loves his city! He had great suggestions for things to do, places to eat and how to access them. Their website describes the property and expectations! We enjoyed the patio area. Very reasonably priced. Would stay there again!

My wife and I had an excellent stay at La Dauphine B&B! Ray and Kim were helpful and welcoming hosts. I enjoyed the neighborhood a lot as well - close to the French Quarter and touristy things, but not quite IN it. Lots of great restaurants and sights to see in this neighborhood as well!

The beds were comfy and free breakfast (yogurt, bagels, toast, etc.) was provided. My only critique is that the walls were a bit thin, but this is to be expected in an older building. Highly recommend this B&B!

If you are expecting a conventional, sterile hotel experience, La Dauphine is not for you. But if you want a clean, comfortable, quirky B&B with friendly owners at a budget price, you should absolutely stay here! Ray & Kim were very welcoming and had great recommendations for local food & music. Our room was really comfy and a perfect place to recharge after exploring New Orleans for hours. Breakfast is good but simple (breads, granola, yogurt, coffee) due to a law prohibiting B&Bs from serving hot food, but with so much great food nearby we rarely ate much at breakfast anyway. The location is just beyond the traditional tourist zone, so it is quiet and a 5 minute walk to Frenchmen Street. We had a great time & strongly recommend La Dauphine!

My partner and I stayed at La Dauphine for five days and we had a lovely time. La Dauphine is in a great location - quiet and charming, but also in walking distance from great brunch spots like Who Dat Cafe and New Orleans Cake Cafe and Bakery, bars like the Spotted Cat, and of course the French Quarter.

Ray and Kim are charming and accommodating hosts. Their house feels warm and comforting, so much so my partner and I spent a lot of time in bed just watching movies from their awesome DVD collection. Breakfast was very simple and perfect out in the sun-soaked courtyard.

We wholeheartedly recommend spending your next stay in New Orleans at La Dauphine!

Staying in this 1896 traditional shotgun style Creole house in the Marigny made us feel like locals. Ray is a great host and an amazing resource for recommendations of restaurants and music venues in the area. The area is safe so long as you take reasonable precautions. We easily walked to Frenchmen Street and the French Quarter every day. A simple breakfast and coffee was ready for us every morning in the kitchen.||||Ray recently updated the bathroom in the Matisse room to include a large tiled shower. There were plenty of extra blankets and towels on hand in the room as well as an electrical tower with lots of outlets for charging. Ray does a great job of anticipating his guest's needs and he was readily available for trip advice or a friendly chat.

My husband and I stayed at La Dauphine B&B for 4 nights recently. The hosts could not have been more accommodating. Ray had a list of his favorite sights and foods to get us started. He also had a map and instructions for getting around safely in the neighborhood at night. (It is a city after all!) ||||The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom/shower was clean with plenty of towels, soaps, shampoos, etc. Good coffee and tea, fruit, yogurt, granola, etc for breakfast.||||The location was only 4 blocks from Frenchman Street with enough great music to last an eternity. It was also close to cafes, restaurants, and both a streetcar and several bus stops.||||We really enjoyed our stay at La Dauphine

For over 20 years I have been visiting NOLA from Oakland CA and have stayed at La Dauphine every time. If you appreciate knowledgeable hosts, friendly funky atmosphere and generous rooms, this is the place for you. Ray and Kim know the city inside out. Ray was born and raised in New Orleans. What could be better than being told about the latest in-places (known only to locals) as well as the not- to-miss New Orleans must-see and must-do things. World's cutest dogs - only one there now - the newest puppy. I've known them all from puppy hood through old age. I cannot recommend it more highly. You really must visit New Orleans and La Dauphine.
