I don’t care how desperate I am, I will NEVER stay here again. The roads are so poorly managed. The laundry facilities all smell like urine and don’t work half the time. For the outrageous price you have to pay, there are ZERO amenities or perks. It’s a giant dust bowl and all around just dirty. The new park manager is less than a pleasure to deal with. When my contract was up, it was never communicated to us that we had to come into the office to tell them we were checking out. Wouldn’t it be common sense that when my contract ended was the day I was leaving? I was given zero instructions as to what needed to be done and was then called to be told I had to come and rake my lot of pine needles and pine cones. Then I had to bag it all by myself. But don’t worry, they really helped me out by giving me 2 complimentary garbage bags. How generous. If the lot wasn’t raked how they saw fit, I was to be charged the daily rate until it was cleaned. I hate this place more than I can even explain. I will never ever recommend to anyone.

Great location off Rt-66. Very dusty. Bathroom and showers are clean but very small. Big pine trees. Bumpy roads inside. Sites are not very leveled.

Been camping since 2012. Never, ever have I been told to give the campground 1. copies of our licenses 2. Copy of vehicle registration 3.copy of insurance....for a 3 night stay! We were told this after we'd been driving for hours, dropped the trailer and went in to pay. They said if we did not produce and comply they were going to kick us out. Those rules were not mentioned when we called for availability or when we arrived and were told we could pick out a spot and then go to the office to pay. Oh, more thing. They do not accept cash, and charge extra to use your credit card.

This was simultaneously the worst and most expensive RV park on our 3000 mile tour of the southwest. The office was located away from the facility and we didn’t get to be greeted by anybody. You have to sign in with all your information and agree legally to all sorts of things long before you even see the place. The bathroom was small and cramped and had no hot water. our site was dusty and noisy and heavy equipment came by the road with lots of potholes. I don’t recommend this facility to anyone

Stayed here before and made reservations again. Not much going for it any longer. Arrived and office had relocated a couple minutes away. Didn't tell us that when we called to confirm our reservation. Asked for more paperwork than any place we have ever stayed. Asked where to get propane and was told a place that doesn't sell it. Really incompetent staff. The campground was just okay but overpriced with hardly any amenities.

The park roads and sites are nothing but mud. On the best days they are full of rutts that will destroy your vehicle, even at the posted 5mph limit and on the worst days are a sludge of mess that will have your tires spinning to make it to your site. The permanent dwellers have left the park so disgustingly over run with junk, trash, and general disrepair that the majesty nature that one might expect is ruined by the eyesore these rejects have strewn about. Dilapidated rvs porches fences and carports are the norm yet they still have the audacity to ask you to clean up the pine needles that fall on your site. The service is lack luster and you can expect to not have your call answered or even returned for days and days. The ponderosa that full the park are gorgeous but it's hard to enjoy with the state of the park. Avoid if possible.

What a DUMP!!! We were traveling in a 37' motorhome towing a car. I called ahead and told the girl that answered the phone that I couldn't see from the global view of the campground to see if it was open enough for us to get in (lots of trees). She stated that it was wide open - no problem for us to come in. We almost past it when my husband quickly got off the road - big mistake. Anyway, when he got stopped beside the office it looked like a dump/junk yard. Before I even could move I told my husband I didn't want to stay there, but he was tired had been driving since we left Las Vegas and just wanted to park. I've been camping since the early 1970's, this was the first time that I had to let a campground copy my registration and insurance for our motor home. "Weird"!!!! I wanted to leave, but like I said my husband had been driving for a long time and was exhausted. We gave the "very rude/ignorant" girl working the office our paperwork and credit card - BIG MISTAKE!!! She gave us a site number - it was awful to say the least. Hard to drive through all the trees (she had lied when she said it was wide open - go figure). He pulled into the site which not only went straight down in the front but was leaning to the right. There was no way we could park there, the levelers didn't even hit the ground. This place is a TOTAL NIGHTMARE!!! I'm thankful that my husband is a good driver, he got us out of that mess without damaging the motorhome. He parked in front of the office and I went in and told the impolite, nasty girl that we couldn't stay there because there was no way we could get level and I needed a refund she got even more irate. I asked her a receipt that I would be getting a refund on my credit card and her response was simply "NO". We camped north of Flagstaff, near Canyonlands and I was telling the woman working at that campground about our experience at Kit Carson Campground in Flagstaff and she said she use to live in Flagstaff and that Kit Carson Campground was a Dump! Exactly!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Stay clear of this place!!!!!
