We stayed here for 3 nights while running from hurricane Irma with our two rigs from south Florida. Absolutely loved staying here and will definitely be back hopefully when there isn't a storm! Bathrooms and laundry room recently redone, the bathrooms are outstanding!! Right on the river with a boat ramp you can take to the ocean. The owner is awesome too!

Walt, the owner, has been working on this resort fixing it up ever since he bought it. It’s looking great! This was very convenient to Savanna and was a great stopping place for a trip down art 95. I would stay there again without hesitation.
Keep up the hard work Walt.

Truly a wonderful family vacation. We had such a nice time here on the campgrounds and had no issues setting up our RV. The staff is super courteous and my kids had so much fun playing in the river. Laundry facility is top notch! Will return again soon!

I have no earthly idea where these people get off calling this dump of a trailer park an RV Resort.

We paid our $300 deposit...non refundable, of course, expecting that this was a comparable place to the many RV Resorts we have stayed long term in our past travels.

We arrived a few days after reserving the spot (a week in advance of our reservation) expecting to see the beautiful spot we'd be staying, as Walt had agreed to find a place to park our Harley for a week while we drove back to Arkansas to pick up our RV.

Upon arrival, we immediately noticed the RV Lot literally looks like a full parking lot, packed in like sardines with barely any space between the campers. In fact, the largest sized "spot" I saw turned out to be the place you could back your boat into the water and still appeared to be a pretty tight squeeze.

As we walked to our upcoming reserved Site 6, we saw more unsightly, trashy campers with weeds grown up and unsavory looking characters than I felt comfortable being near for moments, let alone a full month of living amongst 24/7.

Since Walt was not on the grounds at the time, we managed to navigate the tight squeeze backing out with our small motorcycle trailer and left him a message as we got back on the road to let him know we could not stay there. This gave him a week to give that spot to someone else (one of the many callers he says he has turned away since we made our reservation)

Keep in mind, the spot is currently occupied until tomorrow, Aug 1 and we weren't scheduled to arrive for our month until Aug 2 with physical occupancy expected this weekend.

Although Walt claims that he hasn't received or checked his messages to know that I've been trying to reach him, we told his son to have him call us immediately as we were leaving the RV Lot on Sunday. He finally answered this morning (Tuesday) when I called, but insists that he is being fair in keeping our $300 deposit.

I informed him that as a Google guide and a full time RV traveler, it is my obligation to honestly review his service if he keeps our money because we've now paid him $300 for a service. He immediately became defensive and accused me of threatening him with a "BAD review."
I find this interesting, as I was intentional with selecting my wording when I told him that I will write him my "honest" review based on our entire experience with him and his representation of a Resort.

Further, I clearly communicated my disapproval that there are people like him in this world that can even sleep at night after taking that much money from another hard working person and giving absolutely nothing in return. No wonder he has a no refund reservation policy. Seriously, if you're going to run a shady, crooked business practice in this manner, perhaps you could fix the place up and live up to the name and expectations for RV Resort seeking travelers.

Feel free to share this review as I will on every Travel media site to which you belong, as I will also do, per or RV Travel Family Code.

Great place for a long time stay in Savannah. Walt is super nice and the bathhouse is very clean. Its a little closer than I like but the hospitality makes up for it. Great dock for fishing.

The park was tiny with little room between sites, difficult access in and out, and probably more suited to extended stay visitors. Our issues were centered more around other guests than the park itself although the camp host seemed to condone and participate in a party lifestyle. To be specific, one guest got hammered and found it necessary to yell for hours at high volumes. She was visiting the site next door to ours. She was definitely drunk and even bounced off our rig a few times. At one point, I overheard the next door camper on the phone talking to the camp host. She was asking him where to buy more alcohol and inquiring when he planned on joining them. That's when we decided to leave instead of trying to sleep through a full party next door. We never heard from the camp host or the park itself even though we left without notice or even paying. The rates were comparable to a bit lower than other parks in the area and it was clean but the difficult access and abundance of obvious long term guests made it clear to me they were geared more towards residents than travelers.
