Staff was friendly and service fast. Great atmosphere that's old and unassuming as a good BBQ joint should be. Great waterfront location.

The food though was just not good. Pulled chicken was dry like opening a can at home and coming back the next day to eat it. Brisket looked frozen and reheated and was AWFUL. The manager tried it and spit it out.

Now I want to be fair. They took the brisket back, apologized, replaced with ribs and wings and made a big effort to make it right. That's why I'm giving 3 stars not 1. They stepped up. The ribs were much better. But sides were bland and kids meals too. MAYBE we caught them on a bad day but I don't understand how you can serve this as brisket and be proud of it.

Maybe just go on a weekend so food is fresher. We went out of our way since hardly anyone has brisket around here and we most likely won't be back. Great spot, great digs, great staff/service. My guess is they buy low quality food or use frozen. Either way it was not good.

Beautiful location within Jackson County Park on the waterfront of Guntersville Lake. Friendly service with an expansive menu. Enjoyed the BBQ plate with hot BBQ sauce and hash brown casserole! Cheeseburger and Baked Beans were delicious as well. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with direct access to the dock.

Great location and descent bbq. Fairly extensive menu for a BBQ joint. Had half chicken with green beans and sweet potato. Chicken was good but not as good as used to be. Beans were tasty but basically canned green beans with bacon for flavor. Sweet potato was really overcooked. White sauce for chicken was a little bit on sweet side for me. My wife's baked potato with pulled chicken was great

I got a brisket plate and my wife got a barbecue sandwich plate, it was the night Tenn and Bama played in 2024. We figured it might be packed due to that’s, it wasn’t, guess it wasn’t the party place. Anyway, the food came out almost by the time we sat down at our table. The brisket was really good, tender and flavorful. My wife said the barbecue sandwich and green beans were good too. The bee is nice, overlooking the lake, next to a dock. You can sit inside or out on their deck. If we go to the Statesboro area again, we’ll definitely go back here to eat.

We enjoyed our meals , having tried the big chuck burger and the brisket plate. You can't go wrong with any of the choices from what we saw on the other plates in the dining room. Off the beaten path hidden gem! The place is beautiful and though seating is limited it was a cozy feel. The one downside was not being able to figure out how to get to the outside dining area by the water feel the doors could be labeled better for this purpose. But we plan to come back to sample more of the delicious BBQ offered. They have a little bit of everything pulled pork, pulled chicken, ribs, brisket that was super flavorful, burgers, wings, nachos, stuffed potatoes, loaded fries, chicken fingers, grilled cheese or a BLT. The house bbq wasn't my favorite sauce more of a bbq meats 57 steak sauce but other than that no real complaints. The onion rings and fries were better than fast food fare and the green beans were good. Not a fan of the vinegar slaw but that's personal preference. Can't wait till the next visit.

I had heard great things of KC's but never ate there until yesterday. The BBQ was really well smoked and had great flavor. I got fries and potato salad as well. Both were excellent. The restaurant itself was smaller than I thought but I didn't look around to much as we were in a hurry. I will be visiting here again!

The staff was great. The owner on the other hand has the audacity to say it is my fault they forgot my food for 45 minutes and asked for a refund. He then stated they brought everything to our table. I asked why would we ask multiple times for our complete order including the initial time they brought food to the table. He made sure to mention he was the owner and he was not going to be helping other than a credit to our next visit. I stated I’m from out of town and did not visit frequently to which he walked away and did not return to apologize like an accountable business person. All I have to say is I hope the new owner Tim Judge is enrolled in classes to run a business.

Everyone's favorite go to place, for a special lunch treat! Foods is amazing, staff is so kind, the view of the water and mountains is the perfect scenery! They also have great professional advertising for the best local companies.
